Overall waste of time with staff and the doctor.

I been trying to reach him over a month to go over imaging reports. He never returns your calls. My cancer has spread 3x and this doctor and his office could care less. You are on the phone for hours on hold only to be hung up on.

I would give zero stars if I could. Negligent, Bad Communication, No Compassion, Rushed Visits, Does Not Answer Calls or Messages. His staff is good for nothing too. If you have hope for a cure please, I beg you to go somewhere else.

I met Dr. Marathe at Long Beach Memorial. I had a diagnosis of Lymphoma (Non-Hodgkins) He was very informational for me. I knew nothing about blood cancers. He is very energetic and I learned that he is a clinical instructor… As he entered my room at the hospital, he teaching me about the disease. We did not always agree but I am thankful for our encounter. He is very knowledgeable and I appreciated his willing to literally instruct me concerning the condition. It reminded me of when I was on the university campus studying the biological sciences. I would definitely recommend him as an oncologist. I am thankful for the encounter with him.

Very pleasant and caring.

He told us my mom had 3 weeks to live while chewing food in my ear over the phone. Then he said well usually her type of cancer spreads to the brain is common. But yet he never did a brain scan! We had to find out in the ER once it was too late! He disregarded my mom strong ear and head pain and all other symptoms!

Very unprofessional!

He is one of the worst and careless doctors ever. He never looks up the patient any kind of report until the patient's appointment time. In the appointment time, he shows you that he knows and understands everything, but in the end, he does not understand at all. It is really hard to get him over the phone. His assistant does not have enough knowledge about cancer. Be careful to get his appointment.
