Dr. Omid Barzideh, MD

I had hip replacement surgery and was expecting a tremendous amount of pain, but all I needed was acetaminophen. I walked the day I had surgery. I believe the exercises that I did before the surgery helped greatly. I would recommend Dr Barzideh!!!

What I appreciated most was Dr. Barzideh's willingness to fully discuss (and answer all questions) re: my hip replacement. Dr. Barzideh and his staff had all aspects of my treatment planned and then executed to a great outcome. NYU Langone facilitated my treatment with the combination of interactive mobile phone applications to communicate as well as track every aspect of my surgery.

I had my right hip replaced in June of '19 and my left in December of '19. I should've posted a review years ago, but better late than never. Dr. Barzideh is quiet at first, but a really nice guy. That aside, he knows his stuff!! I was a scared, in pain, distrusting of doctors kind of patient and he dealt with it professionally as we proceeded with the two surgeries. Dr. B, you should see how fast and straight I walk now!! Thanks. I recommend him all the time when I see people doing that tell-tale limp. Don't put it off. He can fix you.

Dr. Barzideh and his staff are caring, highly qualified, professional and efficient. They listen to your concerns and are there to find solutions to your problems. He came highly recommended by my doctor, a former patient's family and my review of his qualifications. Dr. Barzideh is a very skilled surgeon, who produced excellent an result, in my case.

I have been coming to the office for 2 yrs (left hip replaced 2021 & right hip replaced late 2022) My experience has been superb!! I have had interactions with the entire staff & everyone (when I say everyone I mean everyone, Renata ) was extraordinary!! I have absolutely no complaints! BUT let me elaborate on Dr.Barzideh so you'll have as great an experience as I. He & Kim (the PA) work hand & hand with your care. They explain the entire process & expectations, Blah, blah blah. I have to just fast forward...BOTH surgeries went perfectly, textbook! Let me get to the end results. 6 weeks post surgery I RAN a 5 mile New Years Day race!!! YES I SAID 6 wks post surgery!!!! Thats how fantastic my surgery went!!! Thats how incredible my surgeon is!!! So needless to say, I have NO MORE PAIN, NO MORE LIMP & AM DOING WONDERFUL!!!! My progress speaks VOLUMES as to the care they provide! And its not just him they all work together as a true team so they all deserve the HIGHEST praises jointly!!

Dr. Barzideh and his team are excellent. From the pre operation instructions including webex, zoom and in office appointments to the operation and post operation follow up - no stone was left unturned. Dr. Barzideh is terrific - great surgeon with a very calming bedside manner. I experienced no pain after my hip surgery and I am well on my way to a full recovery and enjoying my life again without pain. Thank you.

He is wonderful he takes time with you is very informative answers any and all question. He is kind and very patient. He is by far an excellent surgeon My knee was so bad I didn’t think it would ever be straight again but he did a wonderful job. I now have a straight leg and no more pain. I would highly recommend him and his PA Kim. The entire staff is great

Replaced a hip and a knee. This doctor is the top in his field. He only does hip and knee surgery and he is the best at it. He saved me from a permanent wheel chair. I read some complaints that he is busy. Why would you go to a surgeon who is not busy!

Great experience having my knee replaced by Dr. Barzideh. Very professional and efficient. Based on experiences shared by MANY people having had this surgery I feel like my procedure went smoother than I ever imagined. Dr. Barzideh is the finest, caring surgeon any patient could ask for. He replaced my left knee two years ago, and just replaced my right knee three weeks ago. The procedure has greatly improved in just two years and I was surprised at how little pain and discomfort I experienced this time Dr. Barzideh makes you feel as if you are his only patient. He is deeply concerned with obtaining the best possible outcome from the procedure. I am a complicated patient with unusual allergies to medical adhesives and ethylene oxide sterilants and Dr. Barzideh went above and beyond to be certain I had no complications as a result of these allergies.

I went to see Dr. Omid Barzideh because I had limited mobility in both knees due to arthritis, which had been getting increasingly worse over the past year. He diagnosed me as having end-stage degenerative arthritis of both knees. Right now I am recovering from total knee replacement surgery of my left knee (my right knee with be done in a few months). I was very impressed with Dr. Barzideh the first time I met him, and even more so post-surgery. Also, the ancillary staff at his office should get a shout out for their kind, caring, and professional ways. I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends. Dr. Barzideh is the absolute best!

For the past couple of years, I had been suffering the pain of osteoarthritis in my L hip. Occasionally the leg would not support me, causing a fall down a flight of stairs. There were times when I had bone on bone "attacks" that would painfully immobilize me for hours. My RA MD recommended Dr. Omid Barzideh when I asked about anterior hip replacement. Delighted to get an appt in a short span of time, I met with Dr. B 3/9/21. He was personable, informative, honest in his responses to questions, and did not rush. We set a surgical date of 4/14/21. Within a week, Dr. B's secretary, Renata, phoned with a list of clearances, PAT, CT scan, Covid testing, etc. necessary prior to surgery. Dr. B said he had an army that would get me through and each person from Kim Sommer, PA, Stephanie in the office, to Frank Daugherty, Anesth; Tom Monahan, surgical assistant; Kristin Diethle, RN SAS and the PACU RNs were sticklers for important details of my case. Thank you for your excellence.

My experience with Dr. Barzideh and his team was excellent. I had a total right hip replacement on January 20, 2021, no problems and I experienced a rapid recovery. The visiting nurse and physical therapist came twice a week for four weeks , which helped me with my recovery. I was able to discuss my progress and change in medication as needed. I am very happy with the surgery Dr. Barzideh preformed on me. I had a total hip replace Dec.2020. It is now March and am walking around with no pain at all. Completely recovered. I would recommend doing the pre and post operation exercises every day as recommended in the force. They really help with recovery.

Dr. Barzideh in my opinion is the best and I would recommend him highly. And his staff are also the best. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I was a little apprehensive about having hip replacement surgery, but Dr. Barzideh was able to calm my misgivings by explaining the procedure and answering my questions. The surgery went very well and resolved my problem. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Barzideh to anyone who needs this surgery.
