A kind, caring, thoughtful and talented surgeon
Dr. Akinduro treated me with respect and compassion. He explained what was causing my leg pain and the surgery to eliminate the pain. Notably, he also explained what the surgery would not do (I had preexisting back pain) which helped to properly focus my perspective. Dr. Akinduro performed a laminectomy and a microdiskectomy which was 100% successful and eliminated all leg nerve pain. Now I can resume all activities including sports. One of the most important traits that Dr. Akinduro has is the ability to see the whole person. I was not an ideal candidate for the surgery but Dr. Akinduro realized that without the surgery I probably never would due to the severity of my pain limiting most activity. He decided to go forward with the surgery nonetheless. I believe his skills served to reduce the chance of complications. Now I have a chance to actively better my health for the future-pain free. You are in excellent hands with Dr. Akinduro.

Dr. Akinduro is extremely professional.
Dr. Akinduro takes a professional approach yet is very down to earth with his patients. He asks questions and listens to your response. He is open to discussions. I have never felt rushed in my visits with him. He performed a spinal fusion of 3 vertebrae and 2 disc replacements and after 2 years it is holding up well. I am extremely happy as I had one spinal fusion, at a different facility, over 6 years ago and it failed. Dr. Akinduro has always answered questions through the portal in a timely manner and directed me to resources that could be of assistance to my overall health. He is an extremely good man.

The BEST!
Dr. Akinduro diagnosed my rare condition which was an arachnoid web on my spinal cord which was cutting off the flow of spinal fluid from T7 downward. I was losing all feeling in my body from my diaphragm to my toes. He showed my wife and me exactly what was happening and we shouldn't wait too long before having surgery. He informed us of all the possible negatives of having the surgery. We went into it with 110% confidence in Dr. Akinduro! Although each patient is different, I was in surgery and out of the hospital within 3 days! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Akinduro to do what is the absolute best for his patients. He is accessible and forthright and related to my wife and me on a personal, human level!

Your In Very, Very Good Hands
I suffered a bad fall and required a very serious neck procedure. Very serious. I was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital and was put in Dr. Akinduro's care. Thank God. It's been 9 Months since the accident and I'm still on the mend but back to everyday life with my family. Every day I feel fortunate to have had Dr. Akinduro perform this surgery. Very understanding in explaining the process and always willing to listen to and answer any questions. I am forever grateful for him and his team. Could not recommend more.
