I came to Dr. Z for a second opinion on surgery for my peritoneal cancer of presumed ovarian origin. He was so kind and caring. He was knowledgeable and explained everything and didn't make me feel rushed. He gave me hope when the other surgeon I met with gave me no hope. He completed surgery and got all visible cancer out. He was able to complete the surgery without my needing an ostomy bag. I also recovered very quickly.

Dr. Oliver Zivanovic is a brilliant and truly empathetic physician.
We were blessed to have had him perform a complicated surgery on my wife just three weeks ago. Dr. Zivanovic displayed great care and was always available, prior to and post operatively with a reassuring demeanor, answering any and all questions/ concerns.
We recommend " Dr. Z" without reservation. He saved my wife's life! Thank you MSK and your superior staff.

Dr. Zivanovic is an excellent surgeon and the most compassionate doctor I’ve ever been to. He has an excellent bedside manner and is very personable. The skill level he has as a surgeon is unsurpassed. He was able to successfully remove my entire tumor that was very large and wrapped around other structures. I truly believe another surgeon would have given up. He saved my life and I am forever grateful. I highly recommend Dr. Zivanovic.

Dr. Oliver Zivanovic was upbeat and personal from the first visit after my diagnosis of stage IV ovarian cancer. The second visit after 3 cycles of chemotherapy was even better with Dr. Zivanovic showing the comparison of my two CT scans to illustrate the positive results of the chemotherapy and explain in detail the debulking surgery planned for July 2017. He was interested in me as a person, answered questions, and then performed the surgery in an hour less than the expected time.

Dr Zivanovic is an excellent surgeon, very compassionate, loyal, and genuine doctor. He diagnosed me with stage 3 ovarian cancer last summer 2016, did 2 surgeries on me, had 19 chemo treatments, and I've never felt better ! I highly recommend this fine surgeon whose speciality is ovarian cancer.

Thanks to Dr Zivanovic I am presently in remission from peritoneal cancer and I would recommend him to anyone who feels they have no options! He is personable and spends quality time explaining in detail his procedure. I felt safe and trusted him completely. He is competent and professional while at the same time comforting. I feel blessed to have him as my surgeon!
