Outstanding rheumatologist!

Dr. Petryna is excellent.

Dr. Petryna has been very honest and caring in her discussions with me.

This doctor was dismissive and egregiously cursory in her exam and workup. She challenged confirmed diagnoses without compelling reasons and casually diagnosed my shoulder (incorrectly) without examining it. Made little eye contact. She seemed inexplicably hostile the minute she walked in the door. I am noticing all the reviews are 1 star or 5 stars. I train med students to do ethical intakes and this one was big a thumbs down. I waited many months for this appt bc I trusted my referring doctor who was also baffled by this doctors approach and passivity.

Incorporating of results from other doctors and discussion of treatment plan going forward were good.

HORRENDOUS. Dismissive, rude, absolutely no bedside manner. Rushed me and shut down any concerns I had. Her notes also were completely off and she wrote I do not have history of conditions that I have extensive history and documentation of. if you want someone caring and compassionate, do not see her. horrible excuse for a “doctor”

I have been seeing Dr Petryna for four years now and she has absolutely changed my life. She is patient, extremely smart, and I recommend her to everyone who needs to see a rheumatologist.

Best Rheumatologist in New York City. After having seen 10 other doctors with no diagnosis, she was able to diagnose me accurately in only 2 visits. She gave me my life back and I will be for ever in her debt!

Agree with other reviewers. Pretty awful doctor. Keeps rescheduling virtual visits to simply renew a precription. My advice - find someone else!

Awful doctor stay away she is not caring and dismissive to your needs. NYU should really replace her with someone who cares about patients and helping people in need. Autoimmune disease suffer need allies to help guild them through the tough waters of this disease. Rude and condescending.

Dr. Olga Petyna is the real deal!!! She is truly professional, kind, listens to my issues, is up to date on medical technology & offers sound advice & treatments!!!

Dr. Petryna was initially guarded, because I'd had an awful experience with another dr. at her office. But she became more open and was spectacularly knowledgeable, thorough and caring. You'd be lucky to be her patient.

Avoid this doctor at all costs

Dr Petryna is self absorbed and uncaring. In my opinion she is everything that a doctor should NOT be. I don’t believe that she really cares about her patients and I am not someone who needs a lot of TLC. As to treating my autoimmune conditions, I am no better and probably a little worse than when I started seeing her about a year ago. Most of her staff is very nice.

Dr Olga Petryna is the worst Dr I've ever known. I am a new patient (3 visits). I have Lupus and have been experiencing severe pain in my knees and lower back. I sent a message to see if the Dr could work me in. She has no availability until September. I received a message from her nurse stating that I should go to the ER or an Urgent Care because she had no availability on her schedule. If this is the care you provide patients then you are in the wrong profession. I hope you never get sick and experience a non caring Dr like yourself. I will never recommend her to anyone.

Dr Petryna diagnosed me with a rare autoimmune disease and promptly started the right treatment. Within 2 months I was feeling back to normal.

She is patient, kind and of course very knowledgeable. She didn’t rush us, explaining the diagnosis and answering questions. Office staff also very nice and professional. Definitely recommend
