Dr. Oksana Nimkevych, MD

I’ve seen her several times. She was my kidney Dr. in Oschner. She goes to Laplace which is much closer to where I live. I think she is awesome. She took over my case when I was being set aside. She is in your face telling you what to do but it’s what I needed to hear when no one else knew. She took over my Blood Pressure, diabetes, and CKD. I was heavily over medicated. I’m doing fine now. I highly recommend her if you want to get better.

Dr. Nimkevych is an excellent physician. She is knowledgeable, personable, and thorough. I have complete faith in her due to the commitment that she has demonstrated to me as a patient. She tends to run late for our scheduled appointment, but NEVER rushes through my time with her. I find this to be a very admirable and comforting characteristic considering the tendency of today’s health care professionals to rush through appointments often leaving me with questions or confusion. The thoughtfulness, personability, and professionalism is matched by each member of the office’s medical and administrative staff. They all contribute to my comfort and care by offering advice, additional resources, and instructions whenever possible. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Nimkevych to both family and friends.

Outstanding doctor! She is very detailed and takes time to study your particular case. She's caring and doesn't rush her patients. I have never waited for more than a few minutes in the waiting room. Her staff is friendly and accommodating.

Dr. Nimkevych is a superior Nephrologist! She is an extremely competent physician who is very caring and interested in treating her patients. She explained everything about my condition and my tests and even helped enroll me in a free class to help my medical condition. She spent an entire hour with me and answered every question I had regarding my condition. She will be my permanent doctor. I have total confidence in her as a doctor and highly recommend her.
