I had a sore throat in November 2022. I logged into CloseKnit to see if they could help. They said they required a video chat to help with my sore throat. Before accepting I asked "How much does a video chat cost?" I knew that if it was going to cost what it would to go to a doctor in person I would do that instead. They came back and said "New Patient Focused Visit Cost Estimate Info ID # [redacted] PPO (BlueChoice) Covered at 100% Cost Estimate $0." Because it was explicitly written to me it was free, I accepted the appointment. It could not have been more of a waste of time. The doctor made me stand in different areas and lighting and try to hold the phone at an angle that she could see the back of my throat. She told me she couldn't see anything and even went so far as to ask if I was sure that I didn't have my tonsils removed. I am very sure I have never had them removed. She said since she couldn't see my throat she couldn't tell me she couldn't diagnose strep (for example). The idea that anyone could inspect the back of a throat through a video chat on a cell phone is silly. Then I got a bill for it!!

Worse TeleMed doctor!! Would’ve reported her for lack of care and incorrect diagnosis. She was more concerned that I had covid when I exhibited none of the symptoms. Refused to acknowledge my painful lymph nodes and sore throat!!! Went to urgent care next day because my symptoms had worsen and was given medication which I asked for from padilla and she refused. I now have laryngitis. Tried explaining my hx to this doctor which she chose to not acknowledge. Save your money and don’t waste your time!!! TeleMed needs to get rid of her!

Saw Dr. Padilla today through an online service. She was very personable and listened to my concerns. I felt like I got just as good of service as I would have if I went to a clinic.

I am in a rural area, the nearest urgent care 2 hrs away. I got this dr. via an online service. I had obvious classic strep - sever sore throat, can't swallow, white spots & streaks, high fever, chills, painful rash on face & neck, bad earaches, etc. With a long history of strep throat & scarlet fever, I know my body & when it is strep. I just needed antibiotics. This person refused. Insisted it was viral. Nope! Had to drive 2 hrs next day to get meds - sick as a dog. Incompetent/Uncaring/Wrong.

HORRIBLE Experience with Ms. Padilla. Very unpleasant and she had bad connection virtual Amwell. She says she can give medicine and treat you even if you sore throat, flu, headache, sinus etc. after talking to her 5 minutes she said she couldn't do anything for sore throats that I have to visit an in person dr. Total waist of my time and hers and waist of my money!!! I told her im allergic to nsaids and she out in her comments to take nsaids and beds rest. Really? She obviously didn't listen.
