I have to challenge some of the negative reviews of Dr. Kahan being too busy to care. He is the only doctor who has ever asked for a group hug with me and my hubby when he accomplished the task of making my left shoulder well without surgery. I was in incredible pain and yes I did have to wait almost a month for my first appointment but he got on the job right away and schedules me before I leave for the next appointment. It can’t be a negative that a doctor is SO effective he has a followin

I was a Worker's Compensation patient, with complex history of WC neglect, for nearly 20 years. I developed numerous secondary skeletal injuries due to inadequate and delayed care. This doc started profiling me as a malingering drug seeker, because I take Norco and Tramadol, occasionally (which can be verified by my refill history. He would deal with one body part at a time, even though they are interconnected and debilitating.

Norman is a busy guy. Not sure if the front office is trying to book too many appointments or if he takes more time with some patients so it cascades. However, expect him to be running behind and you will be fine. I have been seeing him based on some lower back issues and through doing several rounds of tests (Cat scans, MRI etc.) we determined that it was not something serious but rather muscular in nature. I have gone through enough PT to self medicate. Ran out of room to say more...

I showed up for my appointment which took 3 weeks to get and he was over 40 minutes late. When he finally saw me he spent a little over 30 seconds to agree with my prognosis from my original doctor then proceeded to try to sell me his pamphlets/books to fix my problem. When I tried to ask him questions he rushed me out the door so he could get to his next appointment. Then told me I had to schedule a follow up analysis that would cost $3000.

I have been going to Dr. Kahan for about 14 years and feel that the only reason I am still walking is due to his expert medical skills. He is an incredible doctor with a very pleasing personality. I also think that the patient(s) that are not satisfied with his treatments are those that might think that all doctors are miracle workers. They are not...but I, for one, am grateful for the docs, nurses, medical techs that work so faithfully and hard to enhance our lives.
