Not for special needs patients
My daughter has special needs including (but not exclusive to) an epilepsy disorder. The visit was nice enough, but as explained in other reviews, this dr is simply not equipped to manage the needs of medically complex patients. In our meeting she indicated that she had reviewed my daughters medical history and understood her needs. She further indicated that she understood what I was seeking in regards to help. Unfortunately, none of this was true. I've called her office 6 times over the last 4 mths only to be told that she was having issues getting treatment approved by my insurance and was seeking a second application, which has now been denied for the final time. She finally called me to relay this only for me to find that she had been using inadequate facts about my daughter's diagnosis which she said she had found ONLINE and leaving me no option to appeal. HUGE waste of time, will now block my daughter from recieving needed treatment, and has me tied in knots emotionally. AVOID

I read about some of the reviews about her before I made an appointment with my daughter & the negative reviews couldn't be further from the truth. She was very pleasant & responsive. I understand as panicky parents of children's with issues, we often get too emotional & wanted a white glove treatment. There's always two sides of a story & reviews such as this are often times bias. Sometimes as parents, we also need to be patient & a nice attitude comes a long way. I will continue to bring my daughter to Dr. Bilbao until she's no longer a child.

My daughter (special needs) sees Dr. Bilbao. Per last appointment we had discussed options for when my daughter gets her first period so we could implement the discussed treatment/options. Well my daughter just got her period, and I left two messages for the doctor. No call yet. If you are in the medical profession, it is your moral obligation as a doctor to treat your patients and do an appropriate followup as discussed at the very least or don't be in this profession!

Unprofessional and unorganized. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Please do not take your child here. She is "too busy" (her words, not mine) to get certification for my child's treatment.
