Overconfident and dismissive
I was referred from urgent care to Urology within our hospital system for a Male UTI. The urgent care put me on anti-biotics, but my Urology appointment was not until a few days after I finished the anti-biotic. When I arrived I told the Medical Assistant all that happened and that even though I finished the anti-biotics, I was still urinating fire which did not seem right. Then I had to repeat everything I said for the this doctor. His reply was that I was still healing and to see him in 6 months. Two days later I was in the emergency room for an undertreated UTI and they gave me another 7 days of anti-biotics. My wife is a doctor and she was appalled that I was so dismissed and had to go to the ER. This doctor is overconfident and dismissive to the point that it puts patients at risk. Do not go to this Urologist! I switched out of the hospital system for Urology and found a Urology specific practice that was able to clear the condition.

Worst communication on the planet. I have been waiting five months for a prescription to get approved through his office, and you've got to call repeatedly to get any information. They say they'll call you. They won't. Useless.

Never ever go to this Doctor if you have another option. He won't spend 5 minutes with you and discounts your concerns with a wave of his hand as if you don't matter. Nurse and staff treated me the same way. Felt like a piece of meat in a processing plant.

TERRIBLE doctor and office!!!! Went for first appointment, he came in for a whole 2 minutes and that was it. He sent us to get a test done at another hospital and we did. We called multiple times to get the results and it took weeks! Nobody at the office would give us an answer. He finally called back and said we needed to have test done again and it has been 3 WEEKS and still no results after other office faxed 3 times and mailed them. We will not be continuing care here, terrible service!!!!

I have never been to a Dr that only spent 60 seconds in the room. I waited over two weeks for this crummy appt and he didn't even care about the pain I was going through. Don't waste your time there are better Doctors out there. My doctor put the request for me to go to him and he didn't even have my blood results that was taken over 2 weeks ago. Wanted me to take another blood test bull!!! If your supposed to draw blood first thing in the morning why was my appointment in the afternoon.

Dr Allen is great! He operated on me, then took the time to explain how to prevent stones in the future. He is the BEST urologist I have been to in the Cincinnati area. Kind, yet excellent. And the follow up was easy - he cares about his patients. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this doctor !
