Four months ago I gave one of the BEST OB/GYN Dr. Obiekwe, a not so good review. Today I would like to clear that up I had a visit today I had to do a recheck on a Pap smear and she was wonderful. She came in and greeted me, she was smiling she was talking she did not rush me. She explained everything to me and answer all of my questions. That is the Dr. Obiekwe I remember. She is awesome. She was our OB/GYN for the birth of our son, he sixteen years old. I have seeing her for 17-18 years. Her office has the NICEST staff. I love LaQuita, Daphine and Nichole. I had the honors of me and Nicole today for the first time she’s wonderful too. It’s never too crowded nor a long wait. The best thing is she was willing to sit down and talk to me and answer my questions. She is back everybody. I love it. I would highly recommend Dr Obiekwe to anyone her professional judgment is on point without a second opinion. I trust her!!!!

horrible provider! neglected my sister’s care for months! has always been so unpleasant! rushes her, very short, RUDE, very dismissive of her concerns!!! i can name so many things, it’s sickening! please go to another provider if you can. i wouldn’t recommend a dog come to you for care. you are definitely one of the reasons we need more doctors in the medical field that care and have a heart for PEOPLE not a check! all those years of med school for what? you suck!!! God bless.

She’s changed personalities on me. My initial pap was amazing with her. She listened. The next 4 times, including an urgent situation, she was rude and cut me off when I brought up additional questions. She literally snapped at me and stared that “that is a separate appointment!” I was in tears from the entire appointment and called another OB immediately after.

I would warn everyone against using Dr. Obiekwe. She was my surgeon for a normal hysterectomy. Before the procedure she was helpful and answered our questions. Although every time I had an appt I would wait for 1 to 2 hours. But I felt safe with her. After the surgery, I returned home and within 4 days I was nauseated a lot, had horrible bleeding and when I went to the bathroom it would hurt unbelievable. I made an appt to come in and see her. Shared the symptoms calmly with her and she sat on her stool and told me I was fine and didn’t even check me. I went home and my gut told me different. Contacted another doctor and he saw me and did a CT scan at the hospital and they found several abscesses that were causing all the issues. He admitted me for a week to prevent sepsis. I was given strong IV antibiotics and I was so grateful to him. If I had come home, like she suggested, there is no telling what would happen. Needless to say I would never recommend her to anyone!

My wife has been a patient of Dr. Obiekwe for 5 years and I have attended all office visits and of course the birth of our baby. We have never had any problems with her , her staff or long waits.(the last visit she had to go to the hospital and we still only waited 45 mins) She seems to genuinely care about her patients and I have complete confidence in her skills and medical knowledge. I might also mention that I have been a Firefighter/Paramedic for 26 yrs. and seen many MD's skill levels.

I have been going to Dr. Obiekwe for my annual exams and haven't switched because it is such a hassle. I am always waiting in the room for at least 1-2 hours and then she comes in with the same excuse "I had a baby in distress and had to go deliver it." I know this can happen but I heard her voice in the hall so obviously it was not what was happening. Finally decided to change doctors. I would never recommend her, especially if you have a problem.

Excellent OB. I was recommended to her by several of my friends when experiencing my first pregnancy. She is quick, efficient and communicates everything clearly. She listened to any concerns I had and was always compassionate. I had some complications during delivery and she handled them well. All of the nurses in her office are extremely helpful and willing to answer any questions you have as well. I will continue to use her as my OBGYN and with any future pregnancies.

Dr. Obiekwe appears to be a nice person but that's it.She is faster in&out the exam room than you can use the bathroom. She doesn't explain things&there is no room to ask questions.Appointments are made without notification. Results get lost&nurses want to redue the tests even though it's unnecessary.Nurses give the result that everything is fine&change the statement the next day.You almost feel like a number at the slaughterhouse-you never know what's coming next&what they are going to do!

I chose Dr. Obiekwe for my OB/GYN based on multiple recommendations for my pregnancy in 2008/2009, when she was with another clinic. I've heard she's great for normal pregnancies. However, she aggressively ignored all of my concerns in appointments, and then I nearly died with HELLP syndrome. 3 days before my emergency c-section (her partner saved my life), she released me from the hospital with +3 protein in urine, high blood pressure, elevated liver enzymes, and lowered platelets. Look it up.

To be fair Dr. Obiekwe is an excellent doctor if you're just having something simple done like an annual exam. That's it. I had a hysterectomy. Her bedside manner is lousy, the nurses all acted annoyed asking post-op questions. I had an issue with the narcotics post-op, went to Dr. Obiekwe had me feeling like I was a drug addict AND making up the pain 4 days after surger. I was told when to come for a follow-up and no appt was ever actually scheduled. Avoid her.

Horrible bedside manner. She doesn't explain everything and pushes procedures on you. She tried to bully me into having a procedure done without having medical evidence that I needed it. She told me she didn't know what was wrong with me but tried to force me to have a procedure. She have me results from a biopsy while in the middle of a papsmear. They lost results, told me wrong results and then tried to make me come back for the same test because they forgot I had already done them. Horrible.

She is absolutely wonderful. I received great care, she listened to me, she respected my opinion, she communicated clearly and made sure we understood what was going on at all times. She was down to earth and relatable but she also was very confident and competent. When the day came for our little one to arrive she was there with her big smile, positive attitude and professional know how. She also advocated for myself and our baby when hospital staff were not on their A-game.

Absolutely terrible. Waited over an hour and a half to be seen. Was called by a diagnostic center informing me she had scheduled a test for me without my knowledge, she never told me why I would need this test and I specifically asked at least twice during my appointment if everything was fine. absolutely outrageous, cancelled all further appointments with her.
