Dr. Niveditha Reddy, MD

After reading the previous reviews I am wondering if they were intended for Dr Niveditha Reddy, or a different Dr Reddy. There are several in our area.Our experience with her over almost 6 months has been extremely positive. She explains info, rationale for treatment decisions, etc. and responds to all questions. She included my partner and myself in plan of care, and advocated for particular treatment choices with other physicians involved in his treatments. Healthcare professionals can only treat for identified diagnoses and refer patients to their primary for follow up or to another specialist needed to address the other concerns. Dr Reddy has responded to every call, including calls made to her personal cell, promptly.My partner (the patient) has verbalized his trust in her care, and opinions, and appreciation of her ongoing involvement in his care. We highly recommend her involvement in the treatment of infectious disease needs.

When she came in to see him the first time, she had one foot, quite literally, out in the hallway, spent very little time with him and seemingly could not wait to leave. Her demeanor was very dismissive, rushed and left both my mother and father feeling confused and not heard. We were “warned by hospital staff that she presented as “very flat”. I assume this was as nicely as they could put it. My father asked some pertinent questions about his concerns and she was very dismissive, and simply did not answer his questions. She said, “You came in for low sodium and THAT is what we have treated. If you want to appeal your discharge, you are welcome to, but if it is denied you will be held responsible for paying for your entire visit.” I had questions. She waved her hand in an offensive dismissal and said we need to talk to the case worker. Her voice was raised and I had to stand up and raise my voice to get her to listen. Unacceptable.
