Amazing surgeon
Dr Malik performed surgery on me when I was 20 weeks pregnant. My risk for delivering preterm was high . She saw me every two weeks until she felt I was stable enough to space out my appointments. She took the time to explain things . I gave birth to a healthy girl . I would highly recommend this Dr in any high risk situation. I’m forever grateful .

Warning***
I saw Dr. Malik at my 12 week apt. At this visit, There was concerning amount of fluid in the babies ultrasound. When Dr. Malik came in, she immediately told me this was not a good situation, my baby will die if he even makes it to term, he will have all sorts of abnormalities and I should consider terminating. As I sat there hyperventilating, she continued to tell me “it’s not good”. She diagnosed me on one single ultrasound - no testing. The next day, I saw Dr. Gonzales who didn’t agree with her findings and calmed me down and assured me we will do all the testing we can to rule everything out. All testing came back fine and I now have a perfectly healthy baby boy. Please beware of Dr. Malik and her style of practice. I hope and pray she isn’t causing women to terminate pregnancies when it’s not necessary. Her bedside manor was not only inappropriate but it was reckless and dangerous. I thank god every day I didn’t listen to her. Book apts with Dr. G - he is amazing.

I have my appointment tomorrow but after having my nuchal scan with Dr. Malik early in my pregnancy I was completely aggravated and annoyed. I always enjoy the ultrasound techs because they take their time and are, for the most part, very thorough, as much as their job allows. I had gotten spoiled in the past at this office, seeing Drs. Nath and Gonzalez during my previous pregnancy because they were great! They took their time, told jokes, and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Dr. Malik not only had me waiting an additional 45 mins-1 hour for her to come in after receiving my images from the tech, but only spent 3 mins actually performing an ultrasound. Forget about her talking to me or engaging at all. Unfortunately, I have to see her again tomorrow as no one else is available. Not looking forward to it. The two stars are going to the doctor, not the tech

Extremely poor communications and work practices. We had single visit. During the visit ultrasound was done by ultrasound specialist, not the doctor. Later doctor came and said, she cannot see something on ultrasound image, so it needs to be redone. The doctor herself did it again. After ultrasound we had literally about 3-5 minutes discussion with the doctor. Also during the visit their staff contacted our physicians to discuss ultrasound and transferring of the results to the physicians office. That transfer was never completed. Also they refused to provide ultrasound results on ANY electronic media: disk or flashdrive (we had one). Bottom line: We are charged twice, one for each ultrasound, and on top of that for full time "consultation" with the doctor. Neither patient or patient's physicians received ultrasound results in two months.

Confused Patient – Jun 03, 2020

Terrible experience, I left the office in tears because of the way I was treated by the staff. I went for a nuchal translucency scan and was in the office for over 2 hours. The staff and Dr. Malik talked down to me and treated me like I was a clueless child. The only nice person there was the ultrasound tech. The receptionist called my parent's phone number, instead of my cell phone number I provided to confirm my appointment before I announced my pregnancy to close family. She says the phone number was in my chart from a Monmouth Medical visit, a hospital I haven't been to since I was 10 years old. There were no apologies upon telling the receptionist about this, she was very condescending and didn't seem to care. I'm so thankful that I have a healthy pregnancy and do not have to return to this office. I do not recommend this practice to anyone, and if you have no other options please bring a friend or family member to advocate for you.
