Dr. Nina Swadener, MD

Friendly, knowledgeable and caring. She is far too busy and all of her appointments are several months in the future. I would like to be able to see her for unexpected illnesses, like a sinus infection, headache or muscle strain for example. She doesn't respond promptly to refill requests from pharmacies which makes it very inconvenient. It seems that all of the appointments are rushed. She explains things well and responds to messages on MyChart.

Scheduling for Dr. Swadener for annual physicals are always 3-4 months out and prescription refills are always held hostage for visits. Extra visits (with extra co-pay and billing) are needed just to get basic prescription refills. Communication is poor as her attitude is condescending.

I have been seeing Dr. Swadener four or five years for my annuals. I find her to be very thorough in making sure that I am up-to-date with my tests and shots. I feel comfortable discussing all of my ailments with her and never feel rushed. She gives me a copy of my annual lab tests and goes over it with me thoroughly. I usually don’t see her during the year, but if I need a prescription refill or a referral, her office assistant communicates with her and it is taken care of promptly.

I have been with Dr. Swadener since 2015 and I loved what a caring and compassionate doctor she was, understanding and treating my unique & many health conditions. Sadly, I have seen a different and unpleasant side to her this last year. My visits and my communications with her have been met with hostility, dismissiveness, and rudeness. She no longer listened to my concerns or my experiences. She displayed a disdainful attitude towards me when I disagreed with her recommendation, a recommendation that was just the opposite last year. I don't need combative or arrogance from my doctor, so I will be gladly switching to another doctor.

Sadly Dr Swadener seems to have changed into an uncaring doctor. My husband and I were scheduled for our annual physicals but were told dr Swadener wanted to see us separately. As my husband is German speaking and I have always accompanied him in the past, we were surprised and felt uncomfortable. Dr Swadener came in and addressed me in an aggressive manner bringing me to tears. Her uncaring insensitive attitude is not something elderly patients need to be subjected to. Perhaps dr Swadener would be better suited to working in a penitentiary.

Dr Swadener is a bit too arrogant for my taste. She does not listen to her patients. She forgets who is paying for her services.

I found Dr. Swadener's friendly, patient and professional manner very reassuring. I was particularly impressed by her willingness to listen to and answer all my questions, and with her prompt email followup with recommendations for treatment/medications based upon her findings and test results. She is obviously very dedicated to providing the very best care for her patients.

My primary doctor retired and she referred her patients to Mission Heritage Med Group of which Dr Swadener is a member and we were assured we would be welcomed and cared for. Dr Swadener has high ratings and reviews, but honestly, I don't know how anyone makes it passed her office staff. I called 3 times and e-mailed once and all my communications were either ignored or responded to rudely. I will be cancelling my appointment and continuing to look for a new Dr.

This was only my 2nd time seeing Dr Swadener, first time was a year ago for my annual physical. She fit me in same day and I was seen within just a short time of arriving. She was friendly, listened to my issue and suggested a course of treatment. I was treated like a friend of hers, and not just another patient.

Dr. Swadener is a knowledgeable, determined, decisive, thorough, patient, and friendly healthcare professional. I appreciate her unwavering instance on practicing a healthy lifestyle to parallel her medical oversight and recommendations. Kudos, Dr. Swadener; I'm a big fan!

She is amazing, smart and caring. She listens well and always is cheerful. Her goal is to give you all your options and help you make the right decision for your health. I always feel my questions are answered or she will point me in the right direction and help me find answers. All Dr's should practice this way.
