Outstanding, empathetic doctor.
Outstanding doctor! Listened to my husband and I spending close to two hours with us. Probably the most thorough history we have ever encountered. Left with a diagnosis and an actionable plan of care. Very professional and knowledgeable. Cannot think how the experience could have been better.

Notwithstanding Dr. Taner's impressive resume, I found her clinical skills to be problematic. She had difficulty relating to me appropriately (patronizing, mildly contemptuous). In my case, she formulated a treatment plan based on her subjective impressions - institutionalization (not at Mayo) and ECT, shock therapy (which Mayo would not perform) - rather than on objective diagnostic criteria. Ultimately, and fortunately for me, objective diagnostic criteria proved her impressions to be wrong.

Saw her for the first time in April and I felt that she was really trying to understand what my symptoms were. She’s a good listener, very thorough, my appt with her lasted almost two hours. I’m going back in July to finish testing (I live ten hours away) and I am really looking forward to it!

I was misdiagnosed by this doctor. She will diagnose you with somataform disorder (basically you are making symptoms up), when you actually have an autoimmune neuro disorder, such as MS (in my case). If I had listened to her, I'd be on psych meds instead of treatment for the autoimmune neurological disorder I actually have. She's also extremely condescending. Please avoid her at all costs - worst doctor I've ever seen.
