Dr. Nikolaos Kanellopoulos, MD

While not everyone agrees with the concept of concierge care, and i agree out healthcare system shouldnt make it a necessity for quality care - if you can get past that part of things, Dr. K is a FANTASTIC doctor. I have had several PCPs in my lifetime, and i have never had anyone actually help me manage my care and health. I have to see various specialists and he actually coordinates my care by incorporating information from them into his treatment of me. He's also available whenever I need him and never ever makes me feel rushed or silly for my concerns. He enjoys it when I've done my own research and come in with questions (or at least he makes me feel that way). It's an investment for sure financially and i know not everyone can afford it, but it's well worth it. I highly recommend Dr K if you are considering it.

First off, Dr. K is NO LONGER a PCP and should be removed from your listing. He has gone to concierge medicine. He used to be wonderful. Now I have had to move elsewhere for medical care.

He used to be a good doctor till he decided he only wanted to treat people who had more money than a normal person and to sell all his weight loss products. Is nurse is rude and I'm glad I'm leaving

I have been going to Dr K for many years. He is a wonderful doctor who really takes time to listen and find the best solutions for his patients. I highly recommend him!

This doc started as a great primary care doc but changed into a practice focusing on wrinkle treatments, body sculpting and the latest : PAID direct primary care at approx $150 monthly per patient or $300 for a couple per month!! Big money ofcourse! So patients that don’t buy this are offered monthly tele visits by a nurse. Little overhead. Nikko, you took the European oath, are you forgetting what being a life saving doctor really is? Deeply disappointed you did this. I switched my primary for Kef and I, remembering that immensely sympathetic doc you USED to be. But money is a big driver for some. So saddening.

Dr. Kanellopoulos is the best doctor by far .He is our family physician and also has aesthetics and weightloss services and He is caring and very knowledgeable . We trust him completely ! DrKanellopoulos also has Emsculptneo at his office as a service my wife and I highly recommend it 20K crunches in four 30 min sessions. Results that you can still see in 3 and 6 months after .

This has to be the worst doctors office I have ever been to. I can call and call and leave too many messages to count and they don’t answer their phones or return calls. The PA was horribly rude to my husband and he will never e we go back. We have both left and we hope no one else ever goes there. Dr K is aware because his wife is always in the front office and hears exactly what’s wrong so I know he knows. If you want a question answered or a script refill you have to go into the office because they don’t answer their phones! Or return messages.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. K for many years as he is one of a very few physicians in today's world who is totally dedicated to the care and health of his patients, all of whom he treats with the utmost respect and interest. Dr. K has an innate ability to listen, monitor, detect, treat and care for our health and wellbeing; he is a very special person with a unique gift. He was the only doctor that we found who never looked at the clock when he knew that his patient's needs are more important than time restrictions. He is one in a million.

WORST OFFICE STAFF I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH, by far!!!! I have requested to speak with the doctor on SEVEN different occasions via e-mail, voicemail, personal calls with office staff and the medical assistant. They all said they would have him call me, still no call (4 weeks later). They were late scheduling a very critical scan for me, and I had to do hours of phone calls with the insurance company to clear it up in time. Something that the medical assistant said "sorry there's nothing else we can do", even when I told her what needed to be done (details from the insurance agent). They simply do not care about their patients. I personally think the office staff is hiding most of this from the doctor. If he knew how bad they were, there's no way he would most of them. Dr. K is amazing, and genuinely cares and is a good doctor. But if you can never get through to him, it doesn't matter.

I like Dr K, but the office staff is probably the worst ever. First thing is, they do not answer the phone when you call. You have to leave a message, then you might get a call back the same day, you might not. Even if you do, chances are your voicemail will have been misunderstood and your questions unanswered. I recently had a issue where I needed a new CPAP machine. After begging for their help for over two weeks and making several trips to the office (since they don't answer the phone) nothing was resolved. From the receptionist to the nurses staff, they all seem to be bothered by having to deal with any patient issues. This is certainly not what I am looking for in a PCP. I want a staff who views my health issues as a priority and not as a bother. I rated this office one star only because zero stars was not an option.

After years of seeing Dr K with satisfaction I am ready to move on to a new primary Dr. Things getting worse there re all communications for service. Calls are always sent to voicemail& no follow up reply. His PA doesn’t fax important orders.Extreme frustration with such downgraded medical ‘service’

He used to be very good. Now no one answers the phone. I have talked with him and his staff but it is all excuses and explanations. I need my doctor to answer the phone. This has been going on for months. I have to find a new doctor. Anyone have any recommendations?

Dr. K seems like a great Dr. if you can see him other wise you get to the nurse Which I wouldn’t recommend she is ok at first but the next time you see her very rude she doesn’t listen she she thinks what works for one person works for everyone not the case with pain.

Can’t honestly recommend Dr Kanellopoulos lately. I’ve been a patient for many years but boy are things changing there lately. What bothers me the most is that he is still taking on new patients but his current patients have to wait for an appt for 2 months. What good is a G.P. If you can’t see him when you really need him. Oh sure, he has one physicians assistant but she is a joke and not very pleasant. Maybe the doc could train her on professionalism, among other things. Guess it’s time to find someone else. A few of my friends who go to him are saying the same thing. Very sad since I always use to think he was the greatest. And he probably still is if you can wait a couple of months to see him. Couldn’t even get to see him for my yearly physical, which is required by Medicare.

While Dr. K was great when he was with HFMG, now that he has his own practice, our experience has been horrible. No one ever answers the phone, no one ever returns your call after you leave a message, and after he orders labs or tests, you’re on your own to track down the results. I left 4 messages over a 5 day period before someone finally called back with our lab results! I even questioned the insurance billing from my last visit while I was in the office and was told “the billing person has already gone home, but we’ll have her check into it and call you back tomorrow.” No one called back. No surprise there!! Clearly, it’s time to find another PCP, which we were going to do last year, but wanted to give him another chance. Big mistake!

Excellent, as always. I have his full attention, he has a great memory and charts everything. He listens patiently, answers all my questions, and helps me solve all health issues.

My mother is an existing patient and when she wanted to make an appointment she was told to wait until after a treatment she was having that did not involve her primary care doctor. She even switched her medical insurance to remain his patient as her primary care doctor. When she tried to schedule an appointment she was told to call back after a few weeks, so she called and now can not get an appointment to see him until late October. Meanwhile her prescriptions that need to be called in are always a mess and close to running out because they do not get the appropriate authorization from the office. No one returns your calls when you leave messages. He must keep walking through staff because they are never the same. My mom was in tears today because her doctor is suppose to be looking out for her! You were a great doctor but if you can’t see your patients when they need you in a reasonable time frame and no one calls you back then your not even good. No way to run an office.

I’ve been seeing Dr K since 2014. He is the best doctor I’ve ever seen. He is very patient, kind, and understanding. I would not consider seeing anyone else. He’s the best!

This Dr. listens! Ii have lived in FL for 30 years and Dr. K. is boy far the best Physician I have gone to.

Dr K is the best, always accessible, competent and has saved both my and my husband’s life on separate occasions.
