Dr. Nicole Palekar, MD

After establishing as her patient there was no communication. Messages went unanswered. She never called or had anyone else call with results of tests. Unable to get prescriptions refilled because she did not do the required paperwork.

This Doctor is highly competent, kind, empathetic and thorough to the nth degree. I am so happy that I've found Dr Palekar! She is truley a wonderful Doctor.

Dr. Palekar is absolutely fantastic. My first appointment with her was a video appointment. She took her time to listen, reassure me and offer guidance. All done with a smile and kindness. When it came to my outpatient procedure, I felt very comfortable and safe in her and her staff’s hands at the Coral Springs Cleveland clinic location. I can highly recommend her for any GI related issues. Thank you, Dr. Palekar.

It is difficult to believe that this is the same Dr. Palekar (according to reviews)that I have been going to for several years. She diagnosed my problem in ten minutes that two other doctors failed to do in over a year. She is also personable, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend her!

I have to be honest I was super nervous after reading these reviews and almost cancelled my appointment. I am glad I did not. She was great. Very personable and very welcoming with a handshake and smile. I feel She listened well and came up with testing that hopefully lead to real solutions. I went in with a positive friendly attitude after expecting the worse and she proved the reviews wrong.

Best to avoid this provider. I reviewed the options at the Cleveland Clinic Florida and selected Dr. Palekar based on her academic credentials. The wait was longer for her services than accepting a random assignment and some of the reviews indicated she was abrupt, but I don’t mind a no-nonsense approach. After waiting 6 weeks to see her and 3.5 more weeks for an opening in her schedule to perform the endo, the procedure was cancelled on less than one business day’s-notice, due to a high BMI. The option I was offered was to reschedule at the Main facility 87 days later! My height and weight didn’t change between our consultation and the sudden cancellation the Friday before a Monday procedure. Dr. P met with me, was my care provider, and should have anticipated the issue and scheduled me accordingly . After wasting two months I had the procedure done outside the Cleveland clinic in 4 days. I’m sure she’s a fine technician, but as a physician she let me down.

Dr. Doesn’t listen to patients. Did not bother to look at results of previous tests that had been done by referring doctor and in fact didn’t know which tests had been done even though records had been faxed to her prior to appointment. Very condescending attitude. Ordered a test that requires eating either gluten or dairy and when it was pointed out that she had been told that I was totally intolerant of both she said to eat oatmeal when all the prep instructions clearly stated that oatmeal was not an acceptable substitution. Will not be seeing this woman again.

Horrible visit. Will never return to this doctor. She is aloof, uncaring, condescending, arrogant and cold as ice. Perhaps she is competent but her rude attitude turned me off so much that I didn't want to communicate with her. This is a doctor to avoid.

Cleveland Clinic is basically a billing factory. Patient-doctor relationship only goes as far as making billable appointments. No feedback, no care, can't get doctor to complete report on failed colonoscopy. When asked, the reason for failure is the patient's inability to follow prep instructions, although endoscopy found and treated bleeding esophageal ulcer. Kept overnight without much explanation and no contact with doctor. Totally unsatisfactory experience.

During my colonoscopy a polyp was removed and sent to pathology. Nobody called me with the results, or advised me accordingly. No visit from the doctor when I was in the recovery room, which is normal. I don't know how Cleveland Clinic allows this, they run a tight ship. 17 one star reviews tells you there's a problem. I will go somewhere else next time.

Poor bed side manner. Zero compassion. Would not recommend to anyone.

As a physician, I have been impressed by Dr. Palekar. She is personable and is able to diagnose the problem efficiently and present the options to treatment in a clear and concise manner.

Palekar didn't get back to me after our appointment. She was to review my tests that were done in the ER and send me to the surgeon. This was 6mos ago. In Feb, I went into CC Parkland crying because I was constantly sick and found she forgot about me. They FORCED her to contact me. When I saw her again, she sent me to a surgeon and didn't mention I needed a referral. I waited a month for that appointment, was rescheduled 2x and on my appt day, I was refused. No referral. I had no idea. No help!!

This Doctor has no heart, no care for her patients. She diagnosed me with 3 different conditions (medications included) and non of them were correct. A very cold and careless doctor. DO NOT recommend.
