Dr. Nicholas Tarola, MD

Dr. Tarola was my surgeon for reconstructive surgery five years ago following a double mastectomy due to breast cancer. Recently, I received an abnormal ultrasound due to a lump in the implant area. The head of radiology stated that I should follow up with Dr. Tarola. I attended my appointment, undressed, and put on a gown. When Dr. Tarola arrived in the room, instead of quickly looking to see if the lump was just an abnormality in the implant or if it was a reoccurrence of my cancer, he stated that he didn't know why I was there. He informed me that he doesn't deal with insurance and that I would need to go elsewhere.This experience was both distressing and disappointing. It left me feeling abandoned and uncertain about my health, with no clear path forward. As someone who relied on Dr. Tarola’s expertise in the past, I expected a more compassionate and proactive approach, especially given the gravity of my situation.I do not recommend Dr. Tarola.

I am so pleased with the outcome of my reconstruction after double mastectomy. Very professional and so caring. His staff is fabulous. Highly recommend him.

Only has office hours in Hendersonville once a week. He was over 2 hours late to my surgery because he went to the wrong hospital. Had a small abdominal hernia repaired. I still have the hernia. Tried to use expired local on me. No nurse in the exam room. Office owed me over $700. I had to ask for it. Bad scarring from lipo. Tried to fix it in office and caused a hematoma that had to be drained twice. Walked out worse than I went in. Waste of money and time.

Dr. Tarola is very gentle, professional, and did an amazing job with my tummy tuck. He over-the-top exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be happier with my results, how I feel post-operatively, and also with the do-able financial cost. Totally worth it and I wish I had done this sooner! Thank you so much Dr. Tarola!

I am from out of town and I drive for almost 2 hours to see Dr. Tarola. He is that good. He is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. I could easily go to a city closer to my home to see a plastic surgeon but, I wouldn't even consider it. If you want the best of the best this is the place to go.

Dr. Tarola is a phenomenal doctor. Caring, compassionate, thorough and he's a perfectionist. I couldn't be happier with my experience - from the consultation to my postop visits. I'm glad I was able to find a skilled surgeon without having to leave town.
