Dr. Sgaglione was kind and patient throughout the entire examination and did a great job explaining the issues I was having with my shoulder. He was very thorough in explaining the treatment options and my prognosis for a full recovery. He answered all of my questions in a clear and concise manner. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Sgaglione performed a complete shoulder replacement on my husband. During follow up appointments, my husband told Dr. Sgaglione that he was still in pain. To make a long story short, my husband's measurements/angles were "off". We were told that there was nothing that could be done. We went to HSS and my husband had to have the procedure redone. He's never been the same and is in chronic pain and his range of motion is almost nonexistent; it's debilitating and has had a negative impact on his quality of life. (There is no option to not leave a star)

Always an extremely long wait and that is if you manage to actually get through and make an appointment. Impossible to get staff on phone and even harder to get a call back from the doctor. I went in because of an apparent problem with my meniscus/knee and a simultaneous issue with my other knee which was spontaneously dislocating out of the socket. Both very painful. The doctor told me I could only be seen for “one issue at a time”. Already feeling as though getting an appointment was challengi

Dr Sgaglione is an elite surgeon whose competence is supported with empathy for his patients. He is not eager to rush into surgery and his objectives are focused on meeting the long-term objectives of his patients. He is unconditionally recommended.
