In 2006 Dr. Ransom did a 4-level (S1-L3) lumbar fusion on me with both anterior and posterior (front & back) incisions, instrumentation, and cages. He damaged the nerves to my groin leaving me in unbearable pain for 2 years. I saw countless doctors and specialists, even the Mayo clinic in Phoenix, and all I received was pain medications and "too bad". I lost my job. I finally found a nerve surgeon and had two additional surgeries to resect the damaged nerves, ending my pain but killing 98% of sensation to my groin. Not at all pleasant for a man. A couple years later, I needed L2 added to the fusion stack - that doctor said it should have been done in 2006 as the damage was obvious from previous images. I wouldn't send anyone to Dr. Ransom!

Dr. Nicholas Ransom did a 3 level fusion in my neck in 1988 at St. Charles General in New Orleans, La. I am now 79 years old and I have never ever had a single problem with my neck. Other doctors who have since xrayed my neck have said "people would die for a fusion such as yours. Thank you Dr. Ransom for the great job you did for me back in 1988". James C. Hood Houma La.

He arrived to the office an hour after my appointment was scheduled. The other patients waiting said this was normal. The medical assistant couldn't figure out how to put the blood pressure cuff on my arm. After 3 tries, she made something up and wrote it down. No one apologized for keeping me waiting 90 minutes past my appt time. His choice of treatment is an injection that required approval from my insurance. Eight days later they have not submitted it yet, even though I am in terrible pain.
