Amazing Surgeon, Believes in Bodily Autonomy
My entire experience with Dr. Fogelson and his staff was fantastic. Not only does he believe in a woman's right to decide for herself if she wishes to get sterilized, (regardless of marital status, kids/no kids, or age), he helped me get my life back when I was suffering from the crippling symptoms of endometriosis. I've had a couple surgeries in my lifetime but let me tell you how surprised I was with how tiny and barely noticeable my incisions were when I had a hysterectomy under his care! In a couple more months it'll match my previous incisions which look like cat scratches. So if the idea of visible scars deters you, just know I've taken 5 minutes trying to find one on my stomach. If you suffer from endometriosis or any unexplained pelvic pain I recommend Dr. Fogelson. If you are passing out on the floor of your bathroom, bringing a pillow and blanket because you don't know when the shaking and nausea will stop give him a call, he may change your life like he changed mine :)

A very happy patient – Sep 08, 2023

Dr. F has absolutely changed my life. I went from not knowing what was wrong with me after an extensive history (and many many years) of Drs not knowing what was wrong. He found stage 4 bowel endometriosis and removed it after two surgeries. He did an impeccable job and is extremely knowledgeable and talented. I did not do a ton of research before my surgery but absolutely would not have anyone else operating on me. Milissa (patient coordinator) is kind, welcoming, and always helpful. I would honestly send anyone here knowing they would get the best care possible.

Dr Fogelson and Milissa advocated for me from the first phone call I made to the office. I suspected I had endometriosis. My OB-GYN and family didn't believe me, despite my history of massively painful periods and two years of "unexplained" infertility. My initial consultation was 1.5 hours. Dr Fogelson did an ultrasound, a neurological assessment, and a pelvic exam. He confirmed that I very likely had endo, and also showed signs of pudendal neuralgia and Adenomyosis. He performed surgery in June 2019 and confirmed (and removed) all my endo. We couldn't confirm adenomyosis with a biopsy but I knew a biopsy was unlikely to show much. By 1.5 weeks out I knew all my nerve pain was gone. The healing process was slow but a year out I feel like a different person. I'm also expecting my first child naturally, due this August (2020). I really can't thank Dr Fogelson enough, and will return to him when I'm done with childbearing to discuss options to treat my adeno if it's still a problem.

Dr. Fogelson was very professional. He made sure I knew the risks of surgery and was clear about what I should expect afterwards. He also made sure I was safe by splitting one surgery in to two to make sure the right experts would be present. Having stage 4 endometriosis is rough, but I'm feeling better even after 3 weeks!

I have a severe case of endometriosis, and I am beyond thrilled to call Dr. Fogelson my specialist. He did an extensive surgery a year ago that resulted in significant pain relief with each cycle. I consider myself blessed as many of my friends who suffer from the same disease have not been so fortunate, as they had extensive surgeries which some resulted in further complications.

I was really disappointed in my first visit with Dr. Fogelson. He was only concerned about my weight & not my issue that I came in for. He didn't seem to have gone over any of my chart notes that my PCP had sent to him. He told me I needed to seriously think about barbaric surgery & if I lost weight I wouldn't have any issues. I tried telling him when I was thinner that I still had issues. It was very humiliating to be treated the way I was for my weight & not have the issue taken seriously.
