Office is broken
Getting a prescription refilled shouldn't take more than 48 hours at most. I have been trying to renew a prescription for over 2 weeks now, leaving messages on the front desk line (which is almost NEVER picked up) and speaking with my Dr's assistant. So far no luck. I'm going to drive across town now to go to the office in person. Wish me luck.

AVOID!!
First (and only) appt with 'Dr. Nick"... very rushed, lasted around 5 minutes, after waiting 45 minutes to get in... he said he would order several blood tests, but he was not sure which ones... said his MA would get back to me quickly... After not hearing anything back for a week... I called and left several messages... also sent a message after TWO weeks via the patient portal... I received no contact back at all... ever. I finally gave up and moved on to a PCP that was not totally disorganized and uncaring... the worst practice I have ever had the misfortune to come into contact with!

Dr. Nick, as we call him is one of the best doctors that I have seen. He is personable, courteous, and listens. He never rushes his patients and speaks to you with concern and respect.

Dr. Bastiampillai is a good Dr but normally runs 1 to 1/2 hours late and thinks this is fine since he's busy. I have been to see him 2 or 3 times and it is the same scenario each time and since he runs so late he's in a hurry to get to the next patient.

I'm a physician myself, and have, not surprisingly, rarely been a very "compliant" patient, rarely consulting other docs reliably. Dr. Bastiampillai saw me when I was in the ER some years ago, and I decided to make him my ongoing physician. He is extremely capable, kind, quick-minded. I have referred many of my patients to him and all have been pleased.
