Dr. Lai is a terrible doctor, how is he chief?
Telehealth
I have had 'Dr.' Lai as a neurologist for a while. The review above is accurate, he doesn't answer emails. He also doesn't look at your file before an appointment by his own admission. I had a seizure and had to go to the ER and the policy is to report it to DMV. Well, I have been keeping in contact to inform him I had the phone interview with DMV medical saying I would be receiving a response on my suspension after 2-4 weeks. Dr Lai decided he can't extend my work status despite the fact the DMV DR. hadn't released my MEDICAL hold. I am now going to lose my house and my insurance because he wants to play god. Kaiser in general has really gone down hill. As far as medication, I kept having multiple seizures and he just 'upped my dose' but as soon as I said I had mood swings (a common side effect) now he is jumping to change my meds.He literally refuses to answer emails. Who doesn't answer emails.His staff are incredibly rude. If you want a DR to care, don't go to neuzil lai.

Twice I had to be rescheduled after arriving at my appointment. Does not follow up with concerns or emails.
