Unacceptable
I had a very disappointing experience at this urgent care due to the extremely rude and rushed service from one of the staff members. If you don’t want to work with people, you shouldn’t be in this field. It’s upsetting to be treated so poorly when seeking medical care. I left feeling unheard and dismissed, unsure whether to be upset or just shocked by the lack of professionalism. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning, and it’s entirely because of this experience. Unacceptable service.

Excellent
Dr. Gampel is an excellent ER physician. She spends a lot of time taking an accurate history and ordering proper labs. I received lab results via email within 2 hrs of being seen. I highly recommend her!

No bedside manner, awful & rude
How this person is employed is beyond my comprehension. Awful bedside manner, horribly rude, 0 people skills. I’ve unfortunately had her 3 times over the last year at CityMD in Lynbrook and each time is the same terrible experience. She goes on a tirade about “not having a magic wand to just make you better” and is extremely nasty to the patients. I actually knew i was doomed to have her again when I saw another patient running out of the building in tears! Just awful…

Horrible
Worst doctor I have ever come in contact with. Nasty and belittling. I left feeling worse because of the way she treated me. When I asked her what she thought was going on with me, she said “I think you’re sick, what else do you want me to say”. Horrible experience. She should not be allowed to practice. I questioned if she is even a real doctor.

I am definitely NOT surprised at all these reviews being 1-star - if zero starts were an option - I would select zero. We saw Neshe Gampel - I will not refer to her as a doctor - because doctors are compassionate and caring - EVEN under pressure. She was so rude to us - and spoke in a very angry and nasty way. Lynbrook CityMD needs to get their act together on this - I will be writing them separately in detail about my visit. NO ONE...should ever leave a doctor feeling as upset as I do now.

Terrible. Absolutely TERRIBLE. I took my mom first a couple months ago due to dizziness and migraines and body aches. She at once said there was nothing she could do because it was her diabetes and she should see a specialist. We asked for some test but she constantly was rude and said there's nothing wrong and she should see her PCP. Meanwhile, her diabetes was not the problem as her past few days readings were low. The next time we went in a month later to get her covid test so she could not be paranoid. As we entered, i told my mom i hope we don't get Dr. Gampel again but guess what, that's who we got again. She came in, took a swab and without any warning or asking my mom to tilt her head, she shoved it in her nose so ahrd my mom had to grab her to make her stop. I think she probably used the swab as an excuse to inflict more pain. We could tell she was extremely rude the first time and this 2nd time was worse. Run from her!

Horrible. Had an attitude the whole time and did not even ask if I was on any medication before drawing my blood. When I asked a question, she answered as if I was supposed to know the answer. How she talks to patients is unacceptable. Someone must address her poor bedside manners.

Despite being rude, Gampel lacks assessment skills. I primarily came in for chest pain (x1 day) but also complained of body aches, fever, coughing, fatigue. My chest pain was not characterized or rated(1-10) which is assessment101 for chest pain. Immediately my one sided chest pain was attributed to a "possible COVID" virus complication of pneumonia. Which is interesting because I know that with COVID pneumonia it manifests in both lungs so it's unlikely to be one sided chest pain. Since I did not fit the criteria to test, there is no way to tell whether it is covid related or not but what bothered me the most were the many attempts made to brush my chest pain to the side which is dangerous for any patient regardless of how young the patient is or whether they have a cardiac history. ESPECIALLY if they pain is not characterized. After she took an chest X-Ray that was normal she still did not want to do an EKG. I had to push for it to happen which should be standard for chest pain. RUN

I refuse to refer to Neshe Gampel as a doctor. City MD of Lynbrook really need to research the way these so called doctors treat patients in their care before hiring them to work with people. Neshe saw my 3 year old daughter as a follow up exam, and she behaved like a pig. She is not caring or compassionate and should not be practicing on people. She really needs to go sit down and do medical research. Poor is and understatement!!!!
