I experience this guy for only a few short days and at the time was seriously contemplated that I was being helped by one sicker than I was. A truly scary and nasty man who deserves his ratings and his lot in life.

Horrible experience
My 22 year old daughter went to Dr Barnea for the first time. She has borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder and struggles with alcohol addiction. Her therapist suggested she go back on meds to manage the extreme anxiety and cycling moods. Dr Barnea told her she probably didn't even have these disorders, but it was drinking that caused her behaviors and that she didn't seem to want help and he couldn't do anything for her. He told her that maybe when she ended up in a ditch one day she would want help and then he would be able to do something for her. She left without a prescription for any medication and visible anxiety that was through the roof. I'm furious. It took a lot for her to make and keep this appointment on her own and now she doesn't want to go back to a psychiatrist at all, understandably so. Why is this man even practicing?

Obnoxious Egocentric
I was referred to ?dr? neri barnea by ?dr? craig bober. I live in S Jersey and bober referred me to a shrink barnea whose practice is in Coral Springs Florida. 1st why refer me to an out of state shrink?? After a short phone interview, barnea stated I should quit all my meds and check myself into a psych facility. When 'it' asked me questions, 'it' only accepted yes/no answers. For example, he asked me if I had ever been in a fight? I answered yes. Despite me being attacked and defending my friend Ann Marie and her dog, barnea didn't want to hear any reason. 'It' cut me off from talking and kept asking irrelevant yes/no questions. I tried to explain that I've been on my same meds for over 20 years with no change in dosage. I also attempted to explain I take care of my father who has severe dementia and that I purchased a home and am renovating it as it was built in 1920. I ask you, who should be in a psych ward? barnea is simply another shrink with a God Complex
