Why I don’t trust doctors anymore

I had an abnormal Pap smear. I was diagnosed with HPV. Dr. Wolfson froze my cervix and did a biopsy. I went back to get my results. He had the wrong page in my file and informed me on the visit that I would have to have a biopsy because he believed from his examination that I might have cancer. When I informed him that I had already had the biopsy, he laughed it off by saying, “wrong page!” And telling me that the biopsy that was taken was benign. He also made a joke about having too many patients. I could not get out of there fast enough and I have never been back. He delivered both of my children. But having too many patients was a real problem. I cried all the way home. This was about 30 or so years ago, but I have never had a place I could say this before. I know he had to many patients to miss me as one, but that’s why I never went back.
