Dr. Neil Hamill, MD

Dr. Hamill and his staff were fantastic. Everything that was happening was explained ahead of time. Staff were friendly and Dr. Hamill did a great job explaining all of my testing results. I’m in the medical field and pretty difficult to please but I actually have no complaints or corrective feedback in this case. I had heard great things about him from other OBGYNs and they were not wrong.

I’m a Type 1 diabetic and Dr. Hamill was very insensitive to the challenges of controlling your diabetes during pregnancy. I have good management with my diabetes. I’ve been diabetic for over a decade and have used an insulin pump for almost that long. My A1C is never higher than 6.2 and even tighter while pregnant. When I would see Dr. Hamill, he would look at my blood sugar logs and laugh and say “you don’t have good control”. He tried recommending me to use Auto Mode on my insulin pump when that feature is not even designed to bring you close to recommended pregnancy blood sugar levels. I was not pleased with Dr. Hamill’s care.

I highly recommend Dr. Hamill. He was an amazing Dr. Throughout my entire pregnancy and helped me tremendously with my type one Diabetes. I felt very safe with him. I ended up having an emergency c section and he was unable to be there for that. But he did come check on me afterwards and treated me very well. I will be using him for any further pregnancies I have.

His bed side manner was awful. He scoffed at the medications my fertility dr had me on. Wasn’t very kind and wrote off my concerns.

Absolutely terrible bedside manners! If you’re talking to him he will cut you off multiple times then finds it ok when you are expressing your concerns to pat you on the leg and walk out before you’re even done talking to him when you’re laying in a hospital bed passing blood clots and having contractions at 20wks along. I wouldn’t even let him treat my dogs.

Dr Hamil misdiagnosed my baby with a congenital heart condition that was not present. His mistake cost me a little over $1000 along with unbelievable anger, frustration, and worry.
