Talented and Caring Pain Specialist
My wife is a long-time patient of Dr. Atlin and we recently went to see him. We got in quickly and had a great visit with him. He's always there for my wife and treats her extremely well. He's a dedicated professional that knows his craft extremely well and I'm glad we found him. If you need a pain management Doctor that's on top of his profession he's the one you want to see. He listens to what you have to say and tailors your treatment to your needs. My wife's general health recently changed for the worse and he was quick to notice it and make changes to his treatment procedures. We've seen many pain specialists over the years and he is "by far" the best we've seen. Thank you Dr. Atlin for your highly specialized care and top notch bed side manner.

Dr. Atlin is an excceptioal Doctor! i got an infection in 2012 and had to have my pain pump removed. and put on oral pain meds and was a zombie and unable to fumction. At that time there was no one to replace my pump in Amarillo until we found Dr. Atlin in Dallas and he excepted me as a patient, replaced the pump and has maintained it for the last 8 years with no complications what so ever. His staff is very professional, caring and so sweet! Thank-you so much for making my life so much better and i definitely would recommend you to my family and friends.

The wait times are absolutely insane. Hours after your appointment. And his bedside manner really makes you want to shut up and hide yourself feelings. I’m highly educated and I feel spoken down to.

You tell him how you feel then he corrects you and tells you what you really feel according to his opinion. When you don't agree he belittles you, raises his voice and argues with you. I've heard him with others to. I had 2 trial stimulators and it didnt help. again I was belittled and told I didnt know the difference between 20 and 80 percent. He said W/C wouldnt approve the operation unless I said I it was 50 percent better. I told him I couldnt/wouldnt say that because it wasnt true. Later in the week I got a call saying it was approved. I didnt understand and should have asked how but the nurse said I had to do what the dr advised. 1st. He didnt install it like its recommended by the manufacturer. He put it in my stomach area then he ran the wires into my vertebra next to my spinal cord. When I told him it didnt feel right I was told not to not to use it. I stopped seeing him got my records and he was fighting his own notes, lied to WC to get approval. Get 2nd opinion!

Dr. Atlin seems to have a god-complex, and loves to talk to/through & over his patient. He belittled the fear connected to a life altering dx, and if questioned in anyway, he becomes defensive and pouts like a child. I’d prefer to put my life into the hands of a doctor who is not afraid to think outside of his box... which in my opinion is CRPS ..whether you have it or not!! He also adlibs in his notes as his “exam” is non-existent. Get a second opinion!

took 5 weeks to get an appt. Upon arrival took another 35 minutes before receptionist asked me to fill out paperwork which leaned towards weeding out addicts than addressing me the patient. Upon providing response I was asked to take a cup and go outside the office to a bathroom and provide a urine sample. After providing the sample you have to walk back through the waiting room with your urine. Classy. 35 minutes later the receptionist asked for payment for my visit. Again, classy.

Dr. Atlin, is the reason I even have a life today! Would follow him anywhere!! After 2 yrs of severe unbearable pain I finally met Dr.Atlin. He Immediately addressed my issues, for the first time in 2 years. I felt like someone understood my pain! I've seen him for 14 yrs.now. I wouldn't trust any other doctor to operate on me after the 21 stitch scar that started this RSD,now full body RSD. He is my ANGEL ON EARTH! I'm not pain free, I am disabled, I have a life again! Thanks to Dr. Atlin!!!

This is honestly the first time I have met the most honest and caring doctor. He will provide the patient with honest answers and will treat you with respect and treatment that you actually require. Even though I did not need to continue with the treatment, I will be coming back to this Doctor if there is ever a need. I strongly, strongly recommend him to anyone who is seeking a Doctor for their pain relief. Will not be disappointed.

I developed RSD/CRPS while recovering from an injury in 1997. Trying to find information on the condition and proper treatment was difficult. Over the next two unbearable years, I went through almost as many doctors as I did procedures trying to get my pain under control. I found Dr. Neil Atlin and have been under his care since 1999. I attribute him with not only teaching me about my condition, getting my pain to a tolerable level but also helping me achieve a functional life with pain.

Dr. Atlin is a highly qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable doctor, However, his rough bedside manner makes me uncomfortable in his presence as well as his lack of respect for me, the patient. I am very hesitant to bring up any issues I may have. Additionally, the long, unnecessary wait to see him when I have an appointment is uncalled for. I have waited as long as 4 hours after my appointed time to be seen by him..
