Dr. Neelam Gidwaney, MD

Terrible doctor with no follow up! Nice the day of but when you need to get in touch she doesn’t respond and her staff is awful!

I had an 11:00 a.m. appointment for a colonoscopy. Dr. Gidwaney did not do my procedure till 2:45 p.m. That is sooo disrespectful of her. She and the staff have no regard how long they make the patients wait. I sat on the stretcher for a full hour before they did the procedure, with no one telling me how much longer it would be. After prepping for 1.5 days, my body was ready to crash. All her staff and herself would say is 'she is so good and thorough, that's why she always runs late'. Are you kidding me? There is absolutely not excuse to make your patients wait that long. She has no regard for what her patients are going through. I will never go back.

I had an appointment for abdominal bloating and pain. The visit with Dr. Gidwaney made me realize that this lady is better off with patients who are under anesthesia. She had the worst bedside manners. No eye-contact, no empathy, and condescending tone the entire time. I won’t be going back even if I have to live with this pain.

dr gidwaney read my symptoms form and said “that’s a lot of circles. you’re too young to circle this many things”. while i understand what she meant, disease and suffering don’t discriminate against age. i told her about my chronic pain diagnosis and she kept cutting me off and being extremely dismissive. she told me that my symptoms sound entirely psychological and that she can’t fix that. she told me to drink multiple bottles of a laxative and then multiple laxative pills and said i need a colonoscopy. upon checkout, the scheduler went to schedule the scope and let me know i would need a covid test before the scope. i asked if it could be a cheek swab or spit test since i’m not comfortable with the one that goes all the way up the nose, and they said “well you might as well leave now so we don’t waste any more time” i’ve never had such an awful experience. i cried the whole way home. she was dismissive and rude and talked down to me. do not recommend.

Dr. Gidwaney did my first colonoscopy. Was very thorough, explained procedure well, very kind and compassionate. She called me personally with my pathology findings which gave me time to talk and ask questions. Thank you doctor.

The most knowledgeable, mild mannered, and kind Doctor I have had the pleasure of seeing. She is acutely aware of what may be the problem(s) because she actually listens. This is the Gastro physician you need to visit.

Dr. Gidwaney is hands down the most compassionate doctor I have ever been to. She takes her time, explains everything, answers all your questions, and makes you feel as if you were her only patient. You will lover her and the entire staff.

Dr Gidwaney accurately diagnosed a gastric problem that put me in the hospital. She is professional and personable.

Dr. Gidwaney has the best bedside manner I have ever encountered. She is smart, helpful, and spent additional time answering my questions. She called me with my test results and went over them in detail with me and my husband. I wish more physicians were like her.
