Dr. Neel Jain, MD

Of the orthopedic surgeons I've seen over my life time, Dr. Neel Jain is the best! He's done a knee replacement a few years ago and now I'm having trouble with my hip joints (arthritis). I couldn't have asked for a better surgery recovery. And, he is excellent at giving injections in to the joints. His 'bed-side' manner is all business but he still is pleasant and easy to talk to and ask question. He also has done a total reverse shoulder replacement on my husband and that was successful too.

I would not recommend this doctor at all. I think he's terrible.!

On September 26,2023 I had a full reverse shoulder replacement with Dr Jain. Today, January 23, 2024, I was discharged from rehab by my therapist Kirk. This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. When I first met Dr Jain I had been seeing another doctor who had treated me for years with shots for the pain. I was so bad that I couldn’t pick up a sheet to cover my body when I was cold in bed. Dr Jain immediately did X-ray’s and suspected the problem was torn rotator cuff. After confirming with an MRI he suggested surgery was my best option since I had gone so long without the correct diagnosis. I finally agreed and the difference in my quality of life is amazing. All the pain is gone. From the first day I needed very little pain management and was completely off any medication within 10 days. Therapy was a breeze. I am so grateful to have had such a gifted surgeon. Best experience and outcome possible.

Was referred to Dr Jains …. I’ve called 4 times over 2 weeks to make an appointment . Not 1 returned call although they tell me they will call me back within 24hours to schedule an appointment and they NEVER do ! Must think he’s the only orthopedic Dr in Town .

Dr. Jain gave our 86 year old mother, her life back. He took excellent care of her after she fractured her ankle this winter. This summer, he performed a very overdue hip replacement. She is doing so much better than we ever hoped for. He listens and is caring. We highly recommend Dr. Jain-THANK YOU so much for giving us our vibrant mom back!!

Dr. Jain is knowledgeable and compassionate. He did not rush through my appointments, making sure to answer all of my questions and discuss treatment options.

Fantastic Doctor and staff After to long of putting off surgery. I finally got to the point of not being able to raise my hand above the waist. Strength gone Doctor Jain found a total tear of the rotator cuff and for good measure. Two separate tendon tears of the bicep. The night after the surgery I was sitting down on my couch, when I realized I was pain free while sitting for the first time in a few years. I have now completed physical therapy and have more motion with zero pain while rapidly regaining strength. I wish I met Dr Jain and Brittany Carr a few years ago.

Dr. Jain did a bio cartilage repair in two spots of my knee. Part of my kneecap was shredding apart along with the spot in the inside of my knee. Both holes were larger than 2 cm. I am now going on seven months of rehab and my knee feels absolutely amazing. I like how confident he was and straight to the point. If I had a question he responded immediately.

Have consulted Dr. Jain for a bone on bone knee and a broken elbow. He gave me a cortisone injection for my knee in January. Now it is end of May and knee is still doing great. Broke my elbow middle of March and Dr. Jain took care of it also. Think he is excellent. Very professional, kind and helpful. Would highly recommend Dr. Jain to anyone needing orthopedic help.

Great Surgeon! I had major surgery on my right shoulder in January 2017. The shoulder was a mess from many previous injuries. Dr. Jain performed miracles with it, and my recovery was only 6 months!

Dr. Jain and his office are top notch. From surgery to insurance information needed to questions called into staff. The office is always on top of the situation. Brittany Carr is awesome from her caring sweet smile and professional knowledge . Thank you all .

I had partial knee replacement done by Dr. Jain at Franciscan Health in Dec. 2018. I was back to work full time exactly 4 weeks later! Everything about the pre-surgery visits, surgery, post surgical therapy, and follow-up visits went very smoothly. Dr. Jain really has a great relationship with his patients while being very professional (and competent!) PA Brittany Carr and the rest of Dr. Jain's staff are also the nicest health-care professionals ANY WHERE. Thank you to all involved in my care.

Neel Jain MD 770 Indian Boundary Rd # 200, Chesterton, IN 46304 Highly recommend! I got three different orthopedic opinions before deciding to go with Dr Jain. Best decision I’ve ever made. Very caring and compassionate doctor , he not only is very involved before and during surgery he stays very involved with the protocol after surgery with physical therapy. My surgery turned out better than I expected. Dr Jain is an excellent orthopedic doctor.

Dr. Jain examined my left shoulder that had been painful for numerous years. His described my condition and recommended shoulder replacement. My surgery date was July 10, exactly 8 weeks ago today. I have more pain free movement than I have had in years. Yes, I have rehab to complete and more range of motion to achieve. Thank you Dr. Jain and Brittany Carr. I would highly recommend this team for joint pain and so happy my Family Doctor recommended I see Dr. Jain.

I had been dealing with knee pain in both my knees for 3 years. Dr. Jain went in and did partial on my right knee it healed up pretty fast . So he went in 4 weeks later and did a partial on my left knee. I never had any signs of infection at anytime. I’m so very thankful for the job he did and relieved me of the pain in my knees. I won’t let anyone else do what he did he is a awesome doctor

I had fallen on cement and injured myself. I did have a pulled groin muscle but the physical therapist recommended a MRI of my left hip. Dr Jain said I didn't need one and considering that I am 77 years old it takes longer to heal. Weeks later My nurse practitioner ordered the MRI and I did have a fracture.
