I sit here in tears after reviewing my last 7 years as a client of this practice. Their treatments have landed me in the emergency room more times than I can count. My only regret is not leaving this operation they’re running sooner.I’d leave a more detailed review, but the website won’t let me post.I sit here, in tears, in physical, emotional trauma, feeling so much regret I did not leave earlier.

I have been a long time patient of Dr Javaherian. And I used to think very highly of her and have recommended her to many of my friends and family members. However, my opinion changed just over a week ago. I was in Miami on vacation and had forgotten one of my medications that I have been on for years. I had run out of refills, so I called the office and asked if they could do me a favor and refill it for me without an appointment due to the circumstances (I was planning on going the following week regardless for an appointment). They were very rude over the phone and told me that there would be a 50 dollar charge to refill the prescription. I explained to them the circumstances and that I was on vacation and asked if they could request that the fee be waived (as any reputable provider would have done). They told me they would ask the doctor and would get back to me; they never did. Unfortunately, I did not end up getting a refill on that vacation and went a week without taking my medi

This doctor uses a dishonest practice, where you are being tempted by her name but in practice get to schedule an appointment only with an assistant (they tell you that the doctor "doesn't work so much nowadays" - quote). Sadly I did make a mistake and took the appointment anyhow. The assistant was dressed like he just got out of bed, kept giggling and laughing throughout the entire session and also made some uncomfortable comments. When I wrote to the doctor's front desk who scheduled the appointment and asked to pass my complaints to the doctor - no one bothered to answer. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this awful, insulting experience.

Dr. Javaherian has treated my son and my husband both for anxiety and depression related issues. I have found her to be very straightforward in her approach, recommending therapy in addition to medications, and she asks about our entire family every time we come in. One of the things that I have valued about her practice is her willingness to listen to the patient about whether or not a medication is working, and her willingness to help reduce medication doses when appropriate.

Saw her for a follow up appointment today. She is terrific. Not sure why some people posted poor reviews. She does not engage in therapy. Her knowledge of medication is excellent. I've never felt better. She is conservative with medications keeping me at the lowest effective dose. Thank you Dr J!

I don't understand the positive reviews about this crooked woman. Psychiatrists can be very unethical, and it takes some searching to find one that is conscientious. Neda Javaherian is not one of these caring and diligent ones. Pill-happy, and willing to send you off after a few minutes with several medications, she is an example of just why psychiatric practice is in disrepute. Avoid like the plague (unless, of course, you do not value your health).

I visited this doctor due to mild anxiety and within 3 weeks I was on five different medications (antidepressant, two tranquilizers, a neuroleptic, and an anti-seizure med). Each of the appointments was around 5 minutes. I found another good psychiatrist who was shocked at the medication Dr Javaherian put me on, saying that I was overmedicated. I was taken off the meds and prescribed just one low dose antidepressant and I feel like my old self again

My experiences with this psychiatrist include: -rushed appointments with a production-line feel -a cocktail of pills (without due diligence: yes, one of those psychiatrists) -being prescribed contra-indicated medication/being over-medicated. Go elsewhere. Do not visit this doctor if you value your health.

Dr. Java's office was filled with 8 other patient's to see her at the time of my appointment. While meeting with Dr. Java, she barely looked at me much less, did I feel that she listened to what I had to say. There was nothing personal or professional about this office. She didn't even ask about the dosage of my current meds. I felt like a # instead of a person to her. She wasn't kind and didn't seem to care. It seemed to be about how many patients she could fit in ASAP to bill.

Ive been seeing her for a year. I find her extremely professional, honest in her opinion and extremely intelligent. She knows her medications, and you feel that she truly wants to help you. I read her reviews on yelp and zoc doc before I went and Im glad I did. Im happy there is a psychiatrist out there that will take my insurance and cares about my well being. Highly recommend.

My daughter attempted suicide and was referred to this doctor. She was awful. She treated my daughter like she was her probation officer. Very critical, highly judgmental and just plain rude. She has no business being in this kind of profession.

I would only recommend her to a friend if they were looking for a drug pusher- someone who you can come in, tell what you want prescribed and be on your way. I saw her over the course of two years, and not once did she remember who I was... which is not so much a personal offense as it is inappropriate for the job. I- like a lot of people who need a psychiatrist- have a complicated and painful history with depression, which is not something I like to recall every time I see the same doctor.
