Great Doctor -- Really Listens
I have been a patient of Dr. Shaikh's for over 20 years. From the first I was blown away by her concern for the whole person. And in addition to treatment medical issues -- and having a most thorough annual physical -- she listens when you talk. This to me is priceless. She now offers in person AND telehealth visits.

Incredible Doctor, Mentor, and Colleague
Working alongside Dr. Naureen Shaikh at Soluna Health has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life. Dr. Shaikh is not only an incredibly knowledgable physician but also an extraordinary human being whose compassion and dedication to her patients are truly inspiring. Dr. Shaikh goes above and beyond to make sure every patient feels heard, valued and supported on their health journey. Her ability to combine the best of traditional and integrative medicine is nothing short of remarkable. Dr. Shaikh doesn't just treat symptoms, she addresses the root cause of illness. She creates deep, genuine connections with her patients and has a unique gift to see what needs to be seen for deep healing.Throughout the years, I have witnessed her bring together phenomenal practitioners to support her integrative team approach, which includes everything from primary medical care, to nutrition and lifestyle modifications, to yoga and sleep education.

A great doctor!
Dr Shaikh is exceptional. She emphasizes staying healthy rather than medical interventions. She will monitor your interactions with other doctors to make sure you receive the best possible care. Several years ago, I shattered my elbow in a fall. In the ER, a local surgeon saw me and I was expecting to have him perform the surgery. Dr Shaikh called me; she had made an appointment for me with an elbow specialist who is a team doctor for the Giants. She really cares about her patients.

I went in as test patient to see if she was good AND UNLESS U ARE into the homeopathic ideas and concepts dishing aside any reality then forget it! First she tells me to go off coffee (I only drink a cup a day),then while reviewing all the meds I take for my neurological condition tells me that one of them causes memory loss. NOT TRUE AND I HAVE BEEN TAKING THIS MED FOR YEARS, proceeds to tell me that the vitamins I take are useless and don't do a thing (NOT TRUE!) then she lies to me saying she takes care of thousands of patients w my condition. Only 1 in a thousand get this rare condition and there are not many of us.Then Dr. Shaikh proceeded to ask me if I was a lesbian. I am not but to ask anyone that is none of their business nor is there anything wrong with that!!!!!!!! She also berates her employees in front of patients. Having worked in the office world, there is a time and place to do this, but to yell and get angry at your office staff in front of patients is just wrong!

Positives: Although she does not accept online appointments, once you get hold of her, you may find her schedule relatively open. She would spend a long time in the office, and one sense, she is sincere. Negatives: I have two lines of major concerns. I know I have to be extremely careful when I criticize anybody for trustworthiness, but unfortunately, I have had several incidences with evidence. When she pushes a certain theory and/or treatment, she may say things that are not supported by real medical data or facts. For example, "HPV-induced cancer can transmit just by hugging" when recommending HPV vaccine to my daughter (not true). This is just one of several incidences of this line. I am also concerned that she often comments/writes on patients' personality and/or issues that are irrelevant to the medical issues. She also said"your surgeon should have done a better job" on my surgical scar"- the first thing a medical student should learn on Day 1 "don't embarrass pts on scars".
