I came into the ER after a miscarriage. I took cytotec to pass the baby. Four days later I started bleeding uncontrollably at home before midnight passing clots and going through pad after pad onto towels underneath me. Our midwife made the call at 5am to go to the ER as I was super light headed. I don’t have any insurance so this was NOT something I wanted to do unless it was a true emergency. Dr Madrid came in after the ER techs cleaned me up some and after suctioning my vagina (super painful) that this bleeding was totally normal. I couldn’t believe it with blood even on the floor a doctor could tell me that this was fine. She had no compassion for the situation and made me feel like a burden coming in to get help. After she was able to pull and suction the baby out a nurse told me to “come back if I bled through two pads in an hour and felt light headed”. That was the exact reason I was here so it was really confusing and pretty traumatic. She did help me but I would never recommen

My first visit with Dr. Madrid was very positive. I've had 4 visits in total now. She is genuinely concerned about my welfare and listened to my issues. One of my visits was 1.5 hours (because she took the time to hear me then help me problem solve and make a plan). While not every doctor is for everyone, and people have off days, I've always felt comfortable and respected. I think she's extremely intelligent and explains concepts well.

I waited in her examination room for 30 minutes until I finally went out to the front and asked if I should make another appointment. I was told she would be right in. After another 15 minutes I left. Very disappointed in how they handled leaving a patient in a waiting room with no word about anything for 45 minutes. So two hours of work lost and no appt.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Madrid as my new ob provider. I love that she is a DO and has the expertise of a DO as well as an Ob. She was gentle, kind, had clear opinions about my care but wasn't pushy, communicated next steps and gave informed referrals. Definitely going back and recommending her to friends and family!

What is A "DO"? So Demeaning in a Gynecological , I am not bitter and feel that Dr. Madrid should be in a physical therapy office. ...DOs receive special training in the musculoskeletal system, your body's interconnected system of nerves, muscles and bones. By combining this knowledge with the latest advances in medical technology, they offer patients the most comprehensive care available in medicine. I feel Dr.Madrid should go into sports medicine instead.
