Our child had seen steep degradation in mobility while complaining that her brain was failing her. She had bad pain in her head and legs and Guido-Estrada's opinion was that melatonin and orthotics would help. Made no effort to treat the pain. Did not query my wife or child about the problems - she just knew everything and said that our daughter did not need the pain or root causes treated. See her if you must but her bad attitude and failure to put the pieces together is a seroius concern for any parent concerned about their child's life. Use her if you must but do not accept diagnosises if they fail to treat pain or get to the root causes. We transferred from Rady hospital to UC Davis as we had no confidence in her. She also dissed the two referring doctors as not knowing what they are doing. You can find better than her. I'm making my display name one where she can know who is sending this should she or anyone at Rady ever look.

I felt like I was understood and that she listened to my concerns. She very clearly explained the steps I needed to take with my son. I cannot imagine being in better hands then with Dr. Guido-Estrada. I hope that she stays in the area; we are fortunate to have such a knowledgeable, caring pediatric neurologist.

Dr. Guido is extremely condescending, rude, lacks empathy and doesn’t address concerns. She doesn’t seem very knowledgeable I had to present several key pieces of information learned from a previous neurologist. Her approach is very abrasive. If you’re looking for a patient, skilled neurologist keep searching.

My daughter connected with Dr. Guido-Estrada; an excellent rapport was established. I appreciated her listening and communication skills, but what was even more impressive was her ability to explain my daughters epilepsy and means for control. Thank you!

I have only had one visit, but I really liked the doctor. I felt like she listened well and asked a lot of questions. She took plenty of time with us and provided clear information. I was pleasantly surprised with my visit. I've seen another neurologist at Cedars and I didn't have as good of an experience.

This doctor has poor listening skills and even worse communicating skills. Forget having an opinion or wanting to participate in the care. She's condescending and has an enormous ego. Even one of the seasoned physicians was taken aback when she said sorry we couldn't help you in response to not managing to get my epileptic daughters seizure to a more manageable level. I called the office for help, went to my scheduled appt but this doctor showed little interest. Choose another doctor.
