Horrible Experience
I began using Wegovy in late January, and when I needed a refill, I was informed that I required a prior authorization, despite having recently been prescribed the medication. This requirement seemed unreasonable, especially considering it hadn't been three months since I started the treatment. Furthermore, the authorization process was mishandled, with incorrect information being submitted – specifically, my weight in January was inaccurately recorded as the same in March. This error appears deliberate, possibly to push their own program offering similar medications at out-of-pocket expenses. It's unfortunate because there's a new doctor at the practice whom I genuinely like, but dealing with these administrative issues is exhausting.I also have proof of my weight cause I was getting iron transfusions every week and it literally documents my weight loss week by week.

She takes her time and actually listens when you have a scheduled visit that is "on the books" that is the only reason why she is getting 2 stars, but beyond that do not have high expectations. Not the kind of doctor that will speak to you over the phone (even if you have a quick question that may not require a visit) without having a scheduled appointment; basically meaning you have to pay to talk to the doctor and she does not care about the wellness of her patients. You will always be reminded that there is a fee if you cancel an appointment without notice and there are signs in the office, letting you know they draw blood, but for a fee. Seems to me she cares more about money than her patients. Also, I requested a certain test be done with my annual labs and after my blood was drawn and she received my results, I asked about that certain test, and she "forgot" to request that test. Needless to say I will be looking for a new doctor.

If I could leave zero stars I would. The level of professionalism is not there overall, her staff desperately needs some training in customer service and how to deal with people as well as time management. No consideration of time. Had a virtual appointment scheduled which I was advised was set for 4:30pm after sitting in the meeting room for 5 minutes I called to see if there was an issue as to why the doctor was late only to then be told the appointment would have to be after hours anywhere between 5 and 7pm and they would call me. I hung up to only to receive an email at 5:17pm that the appointment was cancelled, not a phone call to explain the issue. I had to phone back in to see why the appointment was now cancelled when I did not receive a call from anyone. Just to have the assistant/ scheduler then advised me the internet was down all day and there would be no virtual appointment for the day they will reschedule for tomorrow. Safe to say I wont be going back!

Dr Pyram-Bernard was incredibly thorough, listened to all my concerns and is completely willing to work with me on my preferences for what I expect from my healthcare provider. I feel very comfortable with her and chosen her as my PCP.

I had some weird issues which is why I went to see her. I hadn’t been to a PCP in years so she gave me all the time I needed and the referrals I needed. The staff was kind and professional. They draw blood at their office for a small convenience fee, which saves you the nightmare of booking an appointment at Quest. I will definitely be keeping her as my PCP and have even recommended her to my parents who need someone more local since they just moved.

I moved to Florida from Louisiana and I started seeing Dr. Bernard as my PCP. She has been wonderful. Some doctors would rush you without listen when you visit but Dr. Bernard is someone you can really open up to, she does not rush you. She listens. She really cares about not just your health but the whole human being. She wants to help you to get healthy. She takes the time to listen to your concerns without rushing you. Need to see her urgently without an appointment, just call. Thank you Doc

Dr. Pyram Bernard is a good and compassionate doctor. I suffer from chronic back problems. She always spends time evaluating my progress and patiently answers any and all questions i have. The only drawback is that she's onIy in the kendall office on the last Wednesday of the month. I live in dade county but i go to the plantation office because I can always get an appointment and the cost of the office visit is very reasonable as I'm uninsured

I noticed on other reviews it was mentioned about the professionalism of the staff.I would agree that the staff needs some additional training in customer service and professionalism.I have been going to Dr. Bernard for over a year and haven't had any problems in scheduling appointments, requesting Dr. Bernard to call me her explaining medical conditions with me. Granted there is another clinic that goes on as well, but professionalism is very important when it comes to healthcare.

Staff is the epitome of unprofessionalism and incompetence. If you want to waste hours of your life you will never get back, highly recommend. For example, had my appointment rescheduled an hour before arrival (after I had already left work) because the staff didn't know that the doctor did not work at the office that day. It would be funny if it weren't so inconvenient. I could keep going but I already spent 3 hours in this whole ordeal, why waste another minute?Just trying to spare others

Apart from the fact you can get an appointment at your earliest convenience, there isn't much more I can recommend. I have visited the office about 5-6 times and the doctor has never been there at the Kendall location. When a prescribed medicine by the PA made me feel dizzy to the point I called out sick from work for a week - I asked to meet with the doctor and was told she only visits this location unscheduled once a month. Totally unacceptable for someone who requests to see her.
