Dr. Nancy McCauley, DO

I went to Dr McCauley 3 x in one year saying my hormones and breast composition were changing. Told her I needed a breast MRI due to breast dense tissue and family history. I was continuously written off and told I was fine. I later found a lump and by the time I could get in to get a diagnostic biopsy I was stage 2B invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Her 2 + ER/PR +A year and a half of chemo, radiation, double masectomy, maintenance chemo and reconstructive surgery that will have multiple phases. It’s upsetting that as a patient I was so intently advocating and being told it was all in my head. Now I am scarred for life.

I lost an Ovary and Fallopian tube to her dismissiveness. Complained about pain between 3 different appointments, I asked for an ultrasound, nothing. She was convinced I had a UTI even when I didn’t, her staff didn’t reschedule when my results came back negative. They said “no need”, despite my pain never being resolved. Went the the ER for it and found a 8.9 cm cyst, about to cut off blood flow to the ovary. By then I needed immediate surgery, this could have been caught so much sooner. The ER doctors threw so much shade at her, exchanging looks while questioning why someone so young would resign from practice. Turns out she also misplaced my IUD which perforated my uterus. Even though she declined my many requests for an ultrasound, she should felt both during a pelvic exam. Maybe she is fine if all you need is Labwork and prescriptions.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. McCauley. She took such great care if me during my ob visits when I was pregnant. She was there for the birth and she knew exactly what do do to get the baby out when baby was in an incorrect position. I can't thank her enough for knowing what positions I should do to help the baby turn correctly. She is extremely knowledgeable and an expertise her field of work.

If I could give Nancy McCauley 10 stars, I would. She has a very calming effect, she is knowledgeable, I trust her and feel very comfortable with her. I had an OBYGN that I was with for 16 years and lost her due to insurance, this woman birthed both of my babies. I didn't think I would ever find anyone who could compare, until I found Nancy! The whole , staff, phlebotomies and atmosphere is great and you will be out in a timely matter.

I saw Dr. McCauley when I was pregnant with my first. She seemingly didn't read my chart before she met with me & her only question was "How are you feeling?". I had an early complication that she never asked about. She never checked to make sure I got my flu & TDAP vacs, to take a DHA supplement w/ my prenatal vitamin, or to sleep on my side instead of my back. I had to bring all of these things (and more) up with her, which seems backwards. I'm not so sure she's committed to her patients.
