Dr. Nancy Cao, MD

When I first met Dr. Cao I was getting about 4 to 8 cluster headaches a day. For people that don't know about this condition I was told by a trauma doctor it was the worst pain known to modern medicine. She was calm and understanding and listened to me even when I went into her her office with the most excruciating pain, Dr. Cao has sent me to the Beaumont Royal Oak from her office one time where I spent weeks recovering from a cluster of headaches. Today along with her help with prescriptions and a pain Dr. which I receive shot in my right temple every 6 weeks, I manage my headaches and life much better. I am so grateful for her and the staff. They are very professional and work around my headaches and where I live about 3 hours from her office in Southfield.

Dr. Cao and her staff are the best of the best. I have been a patient for almost ten years. I'm not sure if I would still be here if it wasn't for her. She and her staff are always professional and courteous, even when they are overwhelmed. I really appreciate Dr. Cao's bedside manner. She is compassionate and understanding when explaining scary things. More importantly, she has never had any problems answering the many questions I often have. Many physicians are often not patient with their patients. This is not the case with Dr. Cao. She is kind, insightful, thorough and professional. Truly, the best of the best.

Absolutely would recommend Dr Cao. She is one of the best physicians we have ever met. Brilliant, kind, and tesponsive.

She has been my Doctor for many years! She is very knowledgeable, highly respected, kind and caring! She listens, teaches and ensures my safety at all times. I will never change doctors unless unforeseen circumstances occur. She has saved my life and I am forever grateful for her.

My husband was hospitalized for severe head, ear and jaw pain. CT and MRI was done. No firm diagnosis was established and he was discharged with non resolved pain. I’m a healthcare provider and after reading CT, I had him see his dentist. It was a dental issue causing infection and inflammation on the nerve. He will be having oral surgery. My advice is to look elsewhere for the origin of pain. He wouldn’t have had to be hospitalized.

I wish to warn anyone and I will continue to be an advocate for Dr.'s who take your money. First of all, when I called this practice, I was told by the receptionist that she was good and told the individual my situation. All this was a good sales pitch. Due to this pandemic, I am e-visiting. This Dr. was late in the e-visit and spent all but 15 minutes with me not helping me at all and referring me to another physician. At the conclusion, she tried to get me to come for a ridiculous test that had nothing to do with my situation. She is a awful Dr. and a complete rip off!!!

Dr. Cao took the time necessary to curiously and passionately find solutions to my life-altering migraines. After following her advice and taking the prescriptions she provided, I have close to zero migraine days versus 15 incapacitated days when we first met. She is relentless in her pursuit of wellness & spends time with me that makes me feel important and cared for. I was treated by other neurologists for years prior-never with this attention to detail. I strongly recommend Dr. Nancy Cao to friends and family anytime I learn of a neurological challenge they are facing. She and her compassionate team changed my life dramatically for the better.
