Dr. Namyi Yu, MD

In addition to very excellent credentials, this is a doctor who really listens to you. These days this is rare. Inspires confidence, is very thorough. Thank God for doctors like her. Receptionist and nurse are also lovely.

Dr. Yu is amazing. I cannot say enough good things about her. She is so kind and understanding. She truly cares about her patients. She explains everything in full detail and works with you to come up with a plan that best suits your needs. I recommended her to anyone who is in need of an endocrinologist she is your go to person.

HORRIBLE! WAIT TIMES OVER 1 HOUR! I was a patient of Dr Yu from around the end of 2017 until the start of 2021. I do not recommend this doctor or this office AT ALL. I suffer from hypothyroidism and after having my child, I lost almost all the baby weight naturally. Then she lowered the dose of my thyroid medication by MORE THAN HALF, causing me to gain a huge amount of weight (30 lbs) in a very short amount of time (6 weeks). I knew there was something wrong and made an emergency appointment where she just said oops and increased the dose again. During that time I was so big, tired and feeling sick. It took so long to get my thyroid levels back to normal. Once in 3 years I missed an appointment and even volunteered to pay the no-show fee, which I did, and got MAJOR ATTITUDE from the staff and doctor on my next visit. Don't be fooled by the good reviews and her "friendly" demeanor. This is NOT a good doctor and the 2 ladies working in the office are worse.

Dr Yu has such a warm welcoming friendly way about her. She is thorough and isn’t quick to medicate. Her staff is friendly and nice. It is a pleasure going to see Dr Yu she’s the best!

My mother 82, has a team for health care providers, Dr Yu by far is the best, she treats the whole patient and is very mindful of age related issues. When she talks with my mom and offers instruction on managing her diabetes she is clear and kind. When we leave an office visit I personally feel confidant that all is in order. All the staff in the practice are beyond perfection. I look forward to taking my mom to Dr Yu, it is an enjoyable experience, and my mom loves her!

I love Dr. Yu. She is always very thorough and kind and I'm very comfortable in her care for my thyroid. I also never wait more than 5 minutes to see her.

I initially thought she was nice & thorough. I had an accident & was a in cast & couldn’t make it in to her office for my next appointment. Eventually i needed a new prescription for thyroid medicine. I called to explain why I couldn’t go to the appointment, i was told dr yu will only fill for one month then i have to come in. Well the month passed & i still couldn’t make it in. Too long to go into details about the rest of the story but basically She’s money hungry & phony, do not go to her.

It's always a pleasure to see Dr. Yu. Been a patient of her for many years. Absolutely love her. Can recommend her highly. Always in a good mood with such a pleasant attitude. Such a wonderful smart physician who has helped me greatly.

Very personable and thoughtful physician. One of the best endocrinologist in NY. Extremely detailed oriented and cannot be nicer to me and my family. Highly recommend!!

I saw Dr Yu today for the first time. I was highly Impressed. She is so SUPER friendly, and kind. She made me feel comfortable and she listened to all my questions. She slowly explained everything to me and at no time did I ever feel rushed. I totally recommend this doctor. Just a wonderful doctor.

Dr. Yu, while personable, will keep you coming back for unnecessary appointments just to bill your insurance. Additionally, Crystal (one of the ladies behind the desk) is a nightmare! She lacks people skills, and is completely disrespectful to the patients. All I can say is that Crystal is in the wrong profession to be managing relationships and dealing with patients!! She should be fired!

I started using Dr. Yu a year ago. My initial experience with Dr. Yu was fine but over time I found she did not care so much for her patients but more how much she can bill for. I have diabetes that I manage through diet, exercise, and meds. And because everything is under control, she doesn't see me as "profitable". The concerns that I have she dismisses and the smallest of things requires an office visit. I do not recommend her. Look for a dr that actually treats everyone seriously.
