Very Pleased!!!
Dr Abrar has been handling my family’s needs for over 10 years now!!! He is always available, prompt & efficient in his appointments, spending all the time you need to explain & prescribe at each visit. He has a keen sense of what might be ailing you, and always recommends the proper specialist or testing needed. He has treated my diabetes for all the time I’ve been under his are ; and has dealt with my continually changing health issues, constantly adjusting my medications accordingly. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a good endocrinologist. When I had a brain tuner. He sent me immediately for the right tests; which ultimately sent me directly to the hospital for an emergency craniotomy. I often credit him withsaving my life through his keen accessment if my situation & prompt direction! He is unfortunately leaving his current location to join Northwell Health due to the retirement of his wife, Toni , from hi original office! It was Toni who took all his calls personally

I don’t understand these people that are writing these bad things about him. He’s a doctor who tells you the truth whether you want to hear it or not. He cares to much and listens to everything you say. He works so hard and many long hours. As for his wife if it wasn’t for her my husband would not have had his insulin, she gave us many free samples and brought us through many hard times. For this we thank her with all of our heart. I wish all of our doctors that we both have we're as honest and caring as they both are. Bless you both. Janet and Everett Phillips.

I was fortunate enough to meet Dr Abrar while in the hospital for a minor case of food poisoning. After speaking to him I decided to switch over to him from my previous diabetic doctor. I am thankful I did as He is the most thorough of any doctor I have known. He takes an interest in me as a person as well as a patient. I am thankful to be one of his patients.. DEFINITELY 5 STARS

Dr. Abrar is a good physician He listens. He answers my questions. He takes his time. He is thorough. He is concerned. The only downside is that his practice is in Riverhead. It is a 40 minute drive for me, but even if he moved his practice further out, I would make the trip. He's that good

The receptionist is unwelcoming and abrupt both on the phone and in person. The office behind the reception desk is very cluttered with patient files. Seems sloppy, disorganized and dirty. There was very little wait time because there was only one other patient there. The Dr. spent a decent amount of time examining me, learning about my case and asking questions. I will give him a chance but I may consult another Dr. if I have to follow up with anything, especially after reading other reveiws.

Although Dr. Abrar gives the impression of being a soft spoken physician, he can ultimately be very stubborn. He doesn't like to change a diagnosis or admit when his diagnosis may be wrong. I don't think he's a bad doctor. He's just reluctant to admit that the medications he prescribes may be causing negative side effects. While many patients will not experience negative side effects, a certain percentage of patients will. Unfortunately, he thinks these complaints are more or less imaginary.
