Dr. Nabil Metwally, MD

I was seen by this Dr. in the ER after an injury at work. I had 140 lb person fall on my foot landing on their knee causing it to swell and to turn various colors of purple and red. The doctor ask questions for diagnosis that led me to think he didn't believe a person's foot couldn't actually be injured by something falling on it. When I asked for an ice pack it didn't come. Neither did pain meds or something to put under the foot to elevate it. He said he would discharge me with a walking boot and meds. When the nurse told me I was free to leave and expected me to walk out of there with my regular shoe on I had her go talk to the doctor to get The walking Boone she refused to give me the pain medication. I went directly to a family member's house and was able to get a bottle of whiskey and some over the counter pain meds. I spent eight weeks using a crutch and the boot to walk before the swelling went down enough to get a shoe on. This man doesn't listen or communicate with his staff.

Came in with my son and Dr Metwally asked questions and really seemed to care and wanted answers. He’s been sick for going in 4 months and no answers. Dr Metwally is running additional tests and even mentioned possible answers that other medical professionals have given as answers.

I will drive to another ER if he is the Dr. Maybe he needs to use Google to diagnose people, as he just blew off my daughter who was in horrible pain. Just excused it as constipation. Never told her that pregnancy test was positive, yet said all, "all" tests were normal. She had an ectopic pregnancy and a ruptured fallopian tube - nice job jerk.

He is an awful physician. I would NOT recommend him. He misdiagnosed me and ended up trying to admit me for psych testing, against my wishes. He claimed I had anxiety, later that night I went to another emergency department where I was PROPERLY treated and found out I needed surgery and was close to having a stroke. He has a terrible bedside manner and has NO idea the implications on patients and their family when he makes these poor decisions. I will be filing a complaint.
