Dr. Muzibul Chowdhury, MB BS

I did not see this doctor myself however my wife went to see him today and she home crying. He completely disregarded my wife's questions, kept talking over her while she was speaking, fat shamed her as well as gaslit her, provided nutrition recommendations without knowing my wife's dietary restrictions.

The information in the office visit notes is factually inaccurate. He called me a schoolteacher, I am not. He said I was 9200 pounds overweight. I am not an expert but I assure you that is neither true nor possible. He said my headaches were under control when I did not complain of headaches. He waxed philosophical about my weight being the reason I needed knee surgery without asking what happened. He didn’t listen to my questions and he answered nothing. This was a joke. He spoke over me and didn’t listen to a word I said. He decided all he needed to know when he noticed I wasn’t thin enough for him.

He was professional and outstanding to my concerns and needs. His explanations were direct and easy to comprehend. Thank you Dr. Chowdhury for all your help.

Dr. Chowdhury has been my doctor for over 20 years and he is very caring and attentive to patients needs. He does expect his patients to follow his instructions.

Dr. Chowdhry did not let me respond to his opinions and raised his voice in anger when I tried. In his post visit report he said that he did procedures that he did not do. I will not return and wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. His assistant was quite pleasant and helpful. I don't know why she works with him.

This was follow up visit on health status. Dr answered and explained all questions regarding my blood test and next steps. Always helpful and concerned about my issues and questions me about things I don't always think of which has literally proven to be life saving. Excellent at preventative health measures. Very satisfied under his care.

Dr Chowdury and his staff are all awesome. Very caring. They take the time to answer all my questions.

My wellness checkup went very well. Dr. Chowdhury went through and explained my physical with me. Excellent visit.

Poor bedside manners and forcefully pushes his views on his patients without respecting his patients personal choices. He as well would not allow myself to speak he continued to keep cutting me off in regards to my concerns. He as well verbally expressed his displeasure with my current vaccination status in a combative manner. This has not been my first encounter with him. I do not recommend him. I have only seen him due to my PCP not being available won’t do again.

He is a great doctor with his extraordinary professionalism, cares about patient and listens patiently.

I had my appointment with him because my PCP is currently out. Unfortunately I did not have the best time with him. He steamrolled over me and just decided to throw medication at me rather than listen to what was going on. He may be very experienced but unfortunately bedside manner is clearly not too priority. He didn’t make me feel like my words mattered and would just talk over me. He may work for some but I wouldn’t recommend him.

Dr. Chowdhury is the best doctor I have ever been to. He saved my life. He accepted me as a patient while I was in the hospital and I immediately had a connection with him. He is caring, and has always inspired me to be the best I can be. Great knowledge of medicine and keeps up with the latest data.I have been a patient for 7 years. His staff Lauren and Merana are the best too.

He is the best Doctor ever I seen in my life . He is our PCP more then a decade both me & my wife . He always give the excellent treatment routine checkup as well as needed. We wish him every success in future . With best regards Mohammad Q. Hasan Niantic , Connecticut

I've been going to Dr Chowdhury for 40 years. He knows his patients deeply and I appreciate the fact that he is straightforward and truthful in his diagnosis. He has saved my life a couple of times during medical crisis. He is such a good man that that the same two very capable women have been with him since I started seeing him 40 years ago.

Dr. Chowdhury can be an abrasive doctor to deal with his bedside manner. He is also very antiquated in his system of care - they are not on the network with My Chart Plus or St. Francis. They use paper files. If you're seeing more than one doctor it's almost impossible for them to know what he's prescribing and doing with your care. I would not recommend him. We recently got a second opinion from another doctor and they found a problem that was not detected a year earlier by Dr. Chowdury.
