After barely spending anytime with my child, he claimed my child was making up stuff to get attention, but still prescribe medication for her anyway. He refused to acknowledge side effects of medication even though the side effects are clearly stated in the medication literature. His response to this confrontation was to hang up on me. He is negligent and dismissive and possibly endangering everyone he “treats.”He currently works for Carrus Rehabilitation Center in Sherman caring for children and adolescents who struggle with mental health issues. Those looking for help for their child are encouraged to seek help elsewhere until this doctor is removed from the staff.

I strongly urge families to find another doctor. Upon an initial visit and recent diagnosis, my adolescent asked for a confirmation and explanation about his condition. Mr. (Lost my respect as a Doctor) Puri response was he would need to follow up with the hospital. HE was his attending hospital psychiatrist (on paper) and why I specifically selected him. My adolescent went an entire year without medication and acceptance of his condition. Let me be clear psychosis for 1 year because of the words/advice provided by this physician.

I have had problems with not having enough medication to carry my son through until his next appointment or script for 5 days instead of 30 after paying for a doctors visit. He promised the scripts would be filled for the whole month. The pharmacy told me it was written for 5 pills and that was it. There is no receptionist or good way to get ahold of him . When you contact him to let him know that there is a problem with the prescription he got angry. I think he is taking on too much work and not paying attention to his scripts recently. He seems more interested in charging for visits than taking care of patients needs. The last visit was about 5 minutes long at most .

From my experience, one of the worst doctor/psychiatrist i ever met. Made me even doubt if he is really psychiatrist. In the visit, felt like he wasnt listening to problem and he was eating candy and and breakig the candy loudly while chewing. Rested his arm on his desk and head on the arm. Felt so unprofessional. Visited for anxiety and prescribed 3 medicine for anxiety which is very unusual and dangerous. He rarely gives description of medicine he prescribe, just says its for anxiety. And alw

Visited with my family due to my family member's anxiety. not a good experience. very unpleasant. he is friendly but felt truly unprofessional. Prescribed us three medicine for anxiety which all turned out to be dangerous. he doesn't interview patient enough to know what would be the best medicine. he doesn't know how medicine works except its for anxiety. told me to look online to search on some medicine, he couldn't give detailed info about medicines he is prescribing.

Dr. Puri takes the time to listen, he does an amazing job not only treating me but our family.

Poor Mannerism. There was no staff or anyone to help us with insurance issues.
