Horrible psychiatrist.
I went in with my girlfriend, even after reading negative reviews she still decided to give him a shot, HOWEVER after meeting with Dr.Alam I was in fact astonished at the accuracy of the reviews. The appointment was no longer than 15 minutes and he spent more than half the time ranting to us about how marijuana kills brain cells & cancels out the medication with no evidence being shown. He was insensitive, basically blamed my girlfriend because we are marijuana users for her “simple depression”. He showed no sympathy & even kicked his feet on his table and laid back while speaking to us. He didn’t ask not ONCE about any of her symptoms or feelings. Simply prescribed more medication and sent us on our way. He also was really pushy towards scheduling another appointment (which I will never be doing) even after declining. Overall I don’t recommend him, as he is cold, unprofessional, unwelcoming and is extremely biased. Save your money & find someone who genuinely cares for there patients.

I am absolutely shocked at the lack of professionalism and knowledge by this Dr. He clearly has no interest in my wellbeing or in helping me in any way. It is abhorrent that he works in the mental health field. It seems like he has no knowledge of what to prescribe or treatments, gets mad if you see other doctors, and keeps saying he wont prescribe meds (that I don’t even ask about?). Would NOT recommend him. I do not trust him with my care and I would not have him if I could find someone else to take my insurance

Not sympathetic to the needs of the patient. Arrogant. Don't bother with this man.

First visit was last week. Was referred to him from my PCP. I read all of these reviews and my thought was, "he can't be that bad." Well I am here with my hat in my hand ready to admit I was wrong. If you have an appointment I would cancel it if you can find someone else.

I wouldn't see him if my insurance would pay for someone else. He doesn't give you a chance to talk and he doesn't ask questions. In and out in under 15 minutes. Doesn't seem to care at all.

In reading previous reviews, I was very surprised. I find him to be very friendly and interested in what is going on in my life. He always takes time to hear me out and discuss the best medication options.

Do not ever see this man. He made me feel like I was completely wasting his time. Like I was nothing but an inconvenience. I could tell right away that I didnt like him. Cold, and extremely unwelcoming. There are different words that I would prefer to use to drescribe him but Im trying to keep it clean. He is a jerk, and in all honesty that is not some one who should be working with people with severe mental health disorders. Im disgusted by this whole thing.

I would not recommend him to anyone. Uncaring and not friendly. I have seen him three times now and not once has he asked me about anything that could be going on in my life that could be causing my depression and anxiety. Even when I started to explain the problems I was having with the medication I was currently taking he cut be off to tell me he doesn't prescribe Xanax even though I never asked for it. My only reason for returning to his office is because he takes my insurance. Stay away

He’s extremely judgmental, cold, and uncaring. I didn’t know better as he was my first psych and went to him for a year. Every visit is awkward and uncomfortable. It’s weird, but it feels like he’s against you. I wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy.

Horrible doctor, DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR. He is not personal at all, hardly greets you or tries to get to know you, you basically make all decisions of your treatment on your own, his only response is "it's up to you". I cannot believe that he is a doctor for MENTAL HEALTH, considering how uncomfortable and unwelcoming he is. Please, do not see this doctor.

This Doctor is a quack. He didn't help me at all. He just takes your money and tells you he takes hints out should see someone else. I just met ther guy and 5 min into our conversation he said he doesn't give meds and thinks I need blood work done and doesn't ask me any questions at all. He rather made a point in stressing he doesn't give meds and when he does he monitors it closely and has a right to refuse patients. I never asked any of this. Needless to say I never went back! Horrible doctor.

Unfriendly Dr. considering nature of this practice. Non personable , I always felt hurried and when suggested meds didn't work , hed ask me what do I want to do! Im not the Dr. I shouldn't have to suggest my own treatments. I will never return ,nor refer. He is impatient and lacks motivation for treatment of behavioral health issues. I did not trust him with my health.
