Highly recommend Dr. Silldorff
Dr. Silldorff is knowledgeable, skilled, has excellent communication skills and explained my options, the recommended procedure and the follow-up process. I felt very comfortable knowing exactly what I should expect, and it all proved accurate. I am very confident in Him as a surgeon.

Consultation
This review is several months over due. Dr. Silldorf was very patient, knowledgeable, and provided his opinion of my situation in a very understandable manner. I was dealing with knee and hip pain for several years and he suggested I consider less invasive treatments to begin with prior to considering surgery. I found him to be very personable and informative and very much appreciated his recommendations and referral. He also had a very welcoming and caring staff.

Awesome Surgeon
6weeks after the hip replacement surgery, with permission of PT, I started to hit tennis balls. 8weeks later, I was playing games. Now it’s been 3month, I’m perfectly normal, playing tennis 4times a week, gardening, sitting 6hours at piano practicing. I am so pleased to get surgery by Dr. Silldorff.

Dr. Silldorff and his Team are the very Best
Dr. Silldorf performed total knee replacement on my right knee at the end of September. It now is seven months later. For the past three months, I have felt zero pain and zero discomfort. My new knee works perfectly. This last weekend, I walked for two and a half hours at a street fair. I could not even tell I had my knee replaced.I knew from my first appointment with Dr. Silldorff that I wanted him to perform the surgery. He listened. He continued to listen with every appointment I have had. There was no pressure, ever. Dr. Silldorff explained my options, answered as many questions as I wanted to ask, and he allowed me to take time to decide. He even invited me to bring my son, who would be my caretaker, to meet him. Outstanding. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Silldorff and his team members visited with me prior to and after the surgery. They were so very caring.Dr. Silldorf is exactly what I would have described as my ideal surgeon long before my knee replacement. He is the best.

Definitely
He is everything you want in a surgeon: extremely intelligent, very cautious, personable, concerned about your feelings. Every interaction I had with him left me more confident in his ability and his professionalism. We took in a 2 page list of questions and concerns before the surgery he took the time to answer and comment on each item. He even visited me in the hospital. My pain was minimal compared to the pain I was in before the surgery. He insisted a nurse visit me 3 x a week for 2 weeks to inspect and change the bandage. A PT and OT came 2x a week to show me how to climb stairs, use the cane, dress myself, etc. Dr. Silldorff is very thorough before and after surgery. I was extremely impressed and pleased with him as a surgeon and a person. He will soon be replacing my right hip and will highly recommend him to anyone who wants the best in surgeons.

A great outcome
I recently underwent knee replacement surgery performed by Dr. Morgan Silldorf at Scripps Encinitas outpatient surgery center. Right from our initial meeting, Dr. Silldorf displayed remarkable patience, addressing all my concerns thoroughly without any sense of haste. Moreover, his expertise in utilizing the MAKO machine for hip and knee replacements proved invaluable. This advanced technology offers numerous advantages such as ensuring precise bone preparation and implant placement, minimizing blood loss and scarring, preserving healthy bone and tissue, reducing post-operative pain, and facilitating a quicker recovery with shorter hospital stays. While I hope to avoid further replacements in the future, should the need arise, Dr. Silldorf will undoubtedly be my surgeon of choice.

Knee replacement
I have had a bad knee for 10 years and bone on bone for 4 or 5 years, I had it scoped twice when younger, tried PT, shots, and various braces - and while the shots did bring relief for a time it kept getting worse. I had 2 previous Dr. consultation’s for the replacement but could not pull the trigger as I was concerned about being on blood thinners for multiple DVT’s and a pulmonary embolism. I finally met with Dr. Silldorff and was impressed by his knowledge, and the way he explained every step of the replacement surgery and the various options available. I finally pulled the trigger four months ago and could not be happier with results. I had friends who had knee replacement surgery say that it was a breeze, Dr. Silldorff did not buy into their assessment and said it would be painful and take time - he was right. I did not follow his recommended pain medication instructions, but quickly came around and it was tolerable.

Dr. Silldorff is the best Orthopedic surgeon I have seen in very long time. I had to have hip revision surgery and was very scared he eased my worries and took his time explaining everything. I appreciate Dr. Silldorff and highly recommend him. I have a complex situation and it's hard to find a doctor skilled in doing hip revisions.

Dr Silldorff and his Team are exceptional!
Not only is Dr Silldorff an extremely talented surgeon, who has organized a Dream Team of talent on his crew, he truly believes first that patients should get the best care that can be provided. He has assembled and works with a team of “A” players within his own group and with Tri City Medical from Pre-op nursing to recovery, to the overnight care staff to home health nursing and PT. This has been an exceptional experience and I feel blessed and grateful to have been in their care thank you Dr Silldorff, Stacey, Laurie, Cindi, Stacy, Yessy, the Recovery nurse (what is his name?!), Lisa (Home Health), Joyce (PT Home Health). I can’t remember all of the names but thank you all!

Great doctor and great staff!
Dr. Sildorf was very helpful in explaining the procedures and patient with my recovery. I had in-home PT and lost my husband shortly after my knee replacement so was not able to jump right in to my therapy and did not heal as quickly this time. But all is well now and I am very pleased with the results after only three months. I highly recommend him for knees!
