Too busy for her patients
Telehealth
The staff made a telehealth appointment for me without consulting me. Since an office visit is so difficult to get, I kept the appointment, during my work day. I had difficulty connecting, the appointment was canceled by her NP 10 minutes later, the contact person would not let me leave a message, no one has contacted me. I was told she wants to spend 30 minutes with a patient, and cancels after 15 minutes if we can't connect. However, she canceled after only 10 minutes, I received NO care at all, and have heard nothing from her. If providing no care at all makes sense to her staff, I will find another doctor.

Family member who is very sick with bleeding, extreme pain, inability to eat the salads they used to, etc., was treated brusquely, the short outline that they worked hard on ignored. Doctor was in room no more than five minutes and was uninterested in history even though three family members have inflammatory autoimmune disease. Family member left in tears. Nine-month wait…wasted. Awful experience.

Dr. Fischer did not listen, ask questions or offer any advice. She could not have been more unhelpful than she was. She blamed everything on food allergies and when we went to an allergist, he confirmed that she was wrong and was just getting rid of us. After testing, the allergist declared there were not any food allergies and that this was a gastrointestinal issue and told us to find a new Doctor that would be willing to help because she was not it. The office in general is very unorganized. After waiting four months for this appointment, it was a complete waste of time and she was a huge disappointment. If I could rate her a zero, I would.

I would never recommend Dr. Fischer to anyone, even my worst enemy. Poor bed side manners, does not communicate issues after the surgery. Poor office staff, they do not follow up. They have changed their stories several times. Very poor experience overall. First time patient would never go back!

I have been a patient of Dr. Fischer's for several years now. I have never had a doctor whom I trust more. She is thorough, truly cares, and is willing to go the extra mile. I have a severe case of Crohn's disease and have had numerous bowel resection surgeries. She has stood by me, searched outside the box, and never stopped until she found a treatment that worked for me. I have had a year of remission for the first time in 17 years. I owe that to Dr. Fischer. She has saved my quality of life.

I have seen her both for procedures (colonoscopy and upper endoscopy); and also consulted with her about gastrointestinal medical problems. Friendly/warm, and very good at explaining things. Her knowledge is excellent.

After ruling out C-diff possibility, was told it must be IBS. Wasn't given other tests or medication to help, just left to continue suffering. After traveling 3 hours to see a doctor, I guess I expected more help.

Dr. Fischer did an upper endoscopy for me. She was very friendly, explained everything to me and asked questions. She and staff at IU Health Spring Mill were outstanding. Highly recommend.
