She switched to a program that cost $1800 a year which I could not afford, however she told me that she would be keeping her Medicare patients. That was our last communication. I needed my prescription called in and not until then did I find out she was no longer my dr.

Caring and friendly
The office staff had some issues in the past but has made great improvements. Friendly and caring doctor and staff. The doctor has done tests that I never had done before. Prescription medicine is not the first thing if there are other ways to improve the condition, and I like that. I would recommend!

Very personable and caring
I have seen Dr. Lominchar for about a year and she and she is very personable and vested in your care. She tries to keep you healthy in addition to treating any problems you may have. Her willingness to listen and explain things is refreshing. Her staff is kind and have taken care of all of my needs and then some. I highly recommend the practice.

Dr. Lominchar is decent, staff is terrible
I truly believe that Dr. Lominchar cares about the health and well-being of her patients. When she offers treatment she is sure to explain the process and answer any questions in detail. You will not feel rushed when in the exam room with Dr. Lominchar. I certainly appreciate Dr. Lominchar for that. However, when you are not in the exam room, this might be the most dysfunctional office I have ever come across, in any industry. The staff does not answer phones, can't be trusted to follow up on requests, fail to process pre-authorizations despite how many times they are reminded about them, and in general are inept. There seems to be no functional processes in place to have the office run with any efficiency. It is infuriating as a patient to deal with the staff for simple activities that I have never had to worry about with any other doctor I've ever seen. At times, I spend hours following up with them because they mess up or just fail to do something needed as part of my care.

Pleasant provider, but unprofessional-ghetto staff who insult patrons and speak loudly about them in a pejorative manner in the hall Consistently understaffed. Do not respond to patients within a timely manner (48-72 hours). Staff does not wear badges with their credentials as required by law. They also double and triple book without regard to patients time.

Dr. Lominchar seems to be a knowledgeable, compassionate physician. I wanted to become a patient, but, the quality of the office procedures is very disappointing, from being scheduled for an evening weight group, that I didn't need, to the lack of management of late-comers to their appoitments. There was one staff member from an office behind the receptionist, who was very responsive to my questions. When I questioned the receptionist, she said late comers make others late, and it is up to the nurses who call them in? After 15 mins., other offices reschedule or try to fit late comers in between those who come on time, if possible. I like her, but, feel she could use more support. It has to be very stressful for her, as well. Please evaluate and improve your office management, Dr. Lominchar. They seem to lack order. They keep people from seeing the true quality of your services. Thanks for meeting with me that one time. May God bless you and the work of your hands. L. Lucas

Ive been trying to get a Px refill over a month now, not a new med, something Ive been taking over 40 years. Ive left 6 messages, 5 with the automated prescription refill line, no response. The last message left was today, after going in this morning to ask face to face and explain how important this medicine is to me. I was promised it would be taken care of. The pharmacy has faxed over 3 requests for me since this started. Still no response. Im out of my meds, using what I can find and borrow. This is not ok, not safe for me. I scheduled an appointment for next week however, Ill be in the er before then. I have no choice but to find another Dr. Unfortunately she is one of the best but the office staff...no words.

Takes about an hour or longer to be seen. Most of the waiting is in the actual exam room. You explain to her nurse that you need to go over some labs that were drawn and she says she is going to retrieve them for the doctor. Doctor Lominchar comes in and has no current labs only old ones. Scares me because I am worried about my current labs. Had to make appointment with a specialist to discuss my labs since my primary was not up to date. Read the previous review. I too have been having a hard time over the last three months getting in touch with her staff on the phone. They have not been answering my messages lately the nurse on her line or the front office on their line. To get an appointment I have to stop by the office and schedule in person. To get medicine refilled I have to make an appointment and stay at her office until my medicine has been called into my pharmacy or else it will not get done. Shameful you have to do all this to get proper care. Patient 16 years

One of the most sought after doctors in the low country ever since she has opened her own practice! Unfortunately, the office is plagued with an incompetent staff! This staff is not following up with labs, prescriptions, hospital discharges of her patients for follow up, radiology reports, doctor referrals and not answering phone messages left by patients. The amount of inadequate information that she is receiving from her staff because she is no longer affiliated with a hospital puts her and patients in jeopardy. Accurate follow ups cannot be DONE! A report needs to be made to medical board! Wait time is an hour or longer.

Long Time saddened patient – Nov 18, 2019
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Lominchar?
I started seeing Dr. Lominchar many years ago, when she first came to Charleston and before she had her own private practice. She has always taken the time to listen and to refer me to a specialist according to my needs. The wait-time to be called can be an hour but believe most patients understand, as Dr. Lominchar does give each one the time needed to give them her best care. She is interested in her patients' well being, is knowledgeable and a good listener, with a great bed-side manner.

Dr. Lominchar was once an excellent doctor!!! But unfortunately her overall lack of respect for her patients well being and quality of life has made her unbelievable! It’s sad that a doctor that took the Hippocratic Oath has lost all of her ethical standards!!! Also having her CMA contact her patients and do her dirty work rather than talking to her patients herself on very important medical treatment is just unexceptable!!
