I have been with Dr. Harms for many years but for the past year she has given me issues regarding getting referrals from her or answering yes or no questions--even through the portal. She does NOT do telechats or visits. I'm trying to take care of myself and get appointments done before going in to see her. But even when asking a yes or no question, she wants me to come in. She is now refusing to get me a much needed referral for a bone density test until I come in. ALL THE TIME; come into the office, come into the office..... I'm changing doctors immediately.

This doctor is amazing! I have seen her since 2008
I have had a lot of health issues over the years and I am beyond impressed with Dr Monica Harms patience, understanding and knowledge. I literally have no need for any other doctors because she helps me with everything. She can even read an x-ray better than a radiologist and I am not kidding. There is no doctor out there better than her in my opinion.

Words cannot describe what an amazing physician Dr. Harms is. After having a terrible experience with another PCP, I switched my doctor to Dr. Harms. I have been seeing Dr. Harms since the beginning of this chaotic year (2020), and I could not be any more grateful to have her as my doctor. Even in the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic, Dr. Harms was compassionately seeing and treating her patients in person. She takes the time to sit down with you, listens to you and your concerns, and explains things in great details in a way that you can actually understand what she is talking about and can ask her questions. Even if you ask her a thousand questions, she never appears to get annoyed with you and patiently stays in the room until all your questions are answered. As a premed student, I can clearly tell how knowledgeable and truly brilliant she is (she’s also a nutritionist). On top of all of that, she has a great sense of humor and is so easy to chat with. Hats off to you Dr. Harms!!!

Stay away from this doctor. In my opinion she should not be practicing medicine. If a patient comes to your office and blood work is ordered, what should be done for the patient. If the volume of blood is decreased dramatically, urgent action needs to be taken. Buyer Beware!!!

Horrible doctor, she leads you to believe that there is so much wrong with you when all you do is go in for a regular check up and a slight soar throat. She will look you in the face and say something is terribly wrong with you when all you had was a cold. She will insist on bloodwork and MRI, and EKG, and to go visit the cardiology. I was very disappointed with her. I'd turn away if I where you!!

I went to Dr Harms, because the hospital requested I do a follow up after I've had a bad reaction to diet pills. I read it was released Stayton I have been dehydrated. Long story short, Dr Harms sent a notice to DMV That I shouldn't be driving. I took in the papers from DMV to get to get signed off. she refused to sign untell she finds forethought g wrong with me. Completed, blood work, CAT scan, chest xrays, MRI, I am in perfect health and perfect driving record. Now my license Is in jeperdy.

If I could give a 0 rating I would give but I don't have the option. a very cold and non professional doctor, did not stick to her oat of keeping patients privacy and told my relative about my health issue which I have kept away from them all my life. Did not do anything for me and will never want to see her again.

Paid a lot of money for this out of network provider. Things were seemingly well the first few months. Through some failed medications I was pushed onto another doctor who didn't take insurance with outrageous prices that I could never afford. Because medications failed, this provider refused to see me anymore and took me off all medications - unprofessional. Nothing explained.

I went to Dr. Harms for my check-up when I first moved to the area & loved her. However, one year later I was just starting a new job and just needed one more month of refills on my birth control so buy me time until I could come see her. Not only did Dr. Harms deny my request for just one more month, the receptionist told me word for word " if you really need your birth control then go to urgent care". I want to be able to rely on my doctor & since I cannot rely on Dr. Harms, I will not be back

I'm 42 and my first appointment with Doc (do no) Harms was the best experience I've had. She's approachable, candid without being shame-y, and has a great sense of humor. She treated me like a human and not a med chart, but she was thorough about the contents of my medical history and purpose for the appointment, too. I went away feeling like I had a doctor I could brag about & recommend to local friends when it seems so many other folks (like me, formerly) are unhappy with the docs they see.

I used to see Dr. Harms when she was at Ross and Associates in RSM. I really liked her bedside manner, she was very thorough and her caring nature shown through in her exams and the medical advice she gave. I trusted her decisions implicitly and was very sad to see her leave the practice. I just switched my PCP to be able to see her again in Laguna Hills, so I hope that she has not changed.

Pros: Dr. Harms is simply the best doctor I've ever had. She always takes time with me to discuss concerns, and even explains the science behind what we're discussing. She does blood tests in-office for preventative care and to monitor chronic conditions, which saves me a lot of time and money. But she doesn't have an ego about giving referrals when needed. Cons: Might be a wait, but that's the flipside of an office where patients aren't treated like cattle! Bring a sweater - it gets cold.

Dr. Harms does not provide first line of treatment, she has always sent me out to specialists rather than talk about diet, lifestyle, etc. She even referred me back to my endocrinologist to get answers to my questions regarding fosomax that she ordered for my osteoporosis.
