I was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer, and I couldn’t have found a better doctor!! GOD blessed with Dr. Desai to save my life!

Professional, compassionate, patient, excellent care.

My wife and I wanted to have a second opinion regarding treatment of my prostate cancer metastases. I had just started a series of treatments in Michigan and we wanted to know if my treatment plan was the best there was, hence our visit at the No. 1 cancer hospital in the USA.We were fortunate enough to talk with Dr. Monica Desai. She was very friendly, upbeat and professional. She took the time to explain the answers to our questions and we never felt rushed. She spent considerable time with describing recommended enhancements to my treatments. We agreed with what she recommended and following that, she called my oncologist in Michigan to add these to my treatment plan. My wife and I felt better about my prognosis after talking with Dr. Desai. I have to say that she is one of the best doctors I have ever had, and I'm 75 y. o.

She was very attentive during my hospital stay. She was great with all follow up appointments.

Please advise where Dr. Desai is. I hate it that Houston Methodist will not tell me where she is. She was great for me and very nice. Please some body tell me where she went so I can continue with her!

If the ratings went way beyond 5, I would choose it, for I cannot imagine anyone not selecting the highest rating available. Over four years ago, of being diagnosed with breast cancer Dr. Desai has demonstrated her advanced medical knowledge, highest professionalism, greatest concern for my well-being, answering every question or concern, communicating with me with care and interest in my feelings, as my fears of cancer, at times, were scaring me. I have and will always recommend her to those looking for an oncologist who truly cares about her patients, with her kind personality offering so much hope, as she medically works to help her patients.

I am dealing with colon cancer. Dr Desai is generally on time with her appointments, and is always available quickly when the infusion center needs her. Her manner is great, and she is always willing to explain things.

I cannot give Dr. Desai enough stars! The medical world needs more just like her. She is very detailed, explains things in terms that one can understand. She is compassionate and very interested in her patients. She did not make me feel rushed or not valued. The medical industry needs more like Dr. Desai. Her staff are very attentive and does not make you feel like you are bothering them. I am blessed to be a patient of Dr. Desai.

I was treated for Stage 3 colon cancer by Dr. Desai in conjunction with Dr. Haque/Radiology. I found Dr. Desai to be an excellent doctor. She was thorough, listened to me/my concerns, answered any questions I had. I was very comfortable and confident in her care. She helped make a very unpleasant experience more bearable.

As with many physicians these days, she treats specific lab results and not the whole person and their obvious symptoms. I had to be a strong advocate for myself in order to get proper care. She does not understand the simple yet staggering difference in being “in range” and being “optimal”. I had to get even sicker for her to take my symptoms seriously.

Condescending, doesn’t take concerns seriously, no return calls from staff. Found out about abnormal mammogram when I got something in mail because Dr Desai couldn’t be bothered contacting me before this mail received. Terrible doctor!
