Depends on your child’s age
She is only specialized in babies, that was not in my case. But guided me where to go and get my answers, I appreciate that a lot

Very knowledgeable doctor
She’s really good. Been with her for a minute for my daughter and since she’s been with her, haven’t had any problems.she knows what she’s talking about. Glad my daughter has her for a doctor.

Compassion meets Thoroughness
The office staff were very kind and efficient. The office is very clean and welcoming as well. Dr. Chacon was very timely and thorough. My daughter has been chronically sick for a while and she was very thoughtful with her exam and proactive in her follow up plan.

Excellent
My 9yo has been a patient of Dr. Chacon for over 5 years now. It is always a pleasant visit from checking in to checking out. I love how she explains thoroughly each and every concern, medication, side effects and all options possible. My 9yo also loves his chats with his”Doctora” and always leaves happy. We truly appreciate Dr. Chacon and staff.

Rude
I’d have to say she was one of the rudest and condescending doctors we have ever experienced. I’m grateful we don’t have to see her again.

Dr. Chacon is the ABSOLUTE BEST
Dr. Chacon has been seeing my son for epilepsy for about a year now, and she has taken such good care of him. She is phenomenal and knows what she’s doing. I love that she takes the time to listen to your questions and concerns and handles them accordingly. I highly recommend this practice due to the quality of care that you will receive for your child! The staff are also AMAZING and have wonderful personalities! I just love this office and all of the office staff :)

Absolutely love Dr. Chacon.
Dr. Chacon is the 3rd neurologist I've seen for my 2 yr old daughter and I'm absolutely happy. She took her time with her and addressed all our concerns.

She began treating my 7 y/o son born with Cerebral Palsy (his stroke occurred in-utero) who developed a complex seizure disorder. For the next 5 years, we had many appointments with her. As his seizures worsened, she would adjust med dosages but her advice and treatment recommendations were inconsistent with each visit. His seizures were occurring several times/day and he had to be taken out of school. Her treatment plan was archaic, ineffective, and inappropriate. She never ordered new testing or scans other than bloodwork. My son’s med levels in the bloodwork were becoming inconsistent (b/c of puberty? Absorption changes?), so she blamed us instead of referring to all the dosage changes she ordered. I’d remind her but would continue to tell us we weren’t medicating him as directed. We both worked in emergency medicine and I worked in an ICU so I can say with confidence that we were competent practitioners who knew exactly how to follow medication dosage directions and changes. As a “specialist” practitioner, her medicine was/is archaic and it became obvious Dr Chacon doesn’t keep current on (Peds) neurological research or recommended treatments. I was scared and frustrated and we didn’t trust her competence or advice. Then she finally recommended an inappropriate surgical intervention. Instead, I took my son out-of-state for a 2nd opinion at Rady Children’s Hospital Epilepsy Center. We met Dr Kim McManus who held our hand through every step of a terrifying process. She had a pediatric “team” from multiple disciplines advising on his case. They ran tests Dr Chacon never did and should’ve done, starting with: an 1-2week in-hospital video EEG study(electrodes are surgically placed in the brain), 3T MRI, functional MRI, PET scan, functional MRI assessment, SPECT, Magnetoencephalography, and neuropsychological testing. Our family was VERY well cared for. They arranged lodging for us at their Ronald McDonald house for the longer tests. After 2 months of tests and case reviews, he had surgical resection and has had 1 seizure since surgery. Moral? If you have a child with a complex medical issue, go somewhere else!

Extremely unprofessional, and narcissistic combined with complete and total apathy for her patient. She only saw my daughter once, apparently didn't read the information we provided or worse knew, and acted the way she did anyway. Our daughter suffers from some sort of audible and sensory issue and nose bleeds, we took her to an audiologist and they requested we see a neuro doc. My daughter's younger sister committed suicide just 7 short months ago, and so she has been coping by holding onto a stuffed animal. This lady walked in and immediately asked why we were even in her office wasting her time, that she only treats neurology issues, then battered my daughter with insults about carrying around the stuffed animal. Later in the visit she asked if my daughter was going to college, to which she stated she would after a short break, and this unprofessional woman said "well its to late to enroll now". Will never go here again, reported her just about everywhere I can. What a piece of work..

Dr. Chacon is amazing
Dr. Chacon is a really caring doctor. She listens to our concerns and works with us to provide proper care that fit my son’s needs and our family’s as a whole. She also cares at finding the right dosage for our son instead of just pushing meds on him. She is always available to answer our questions and if we need to, we can call and be seen in the same week.

Simple things
The office was clean and inviting. She answered some questions but, didn’t feel like she listened well. I didn’t walk away feeling like I was listened too. We were there on a pediatrician referral and had concerns. Introducing yourself is a first step to that.

I wish I liked her as much as everyone else. She is a good doctor but when I questioned the Med she wanted to start and yelled at her MA for not sending a prior auth and not calling me back after repeatedly calling about the refill/prior auth, she turned cold. I think I had a right to be upset. Her MA is not good. I don’t care if you made a mistake, but not returning a call or completing the medication request and then leaving for the day on a Friday is unacceptable. My son had no seizure medication. Dr chacon defended the MA saying she knew insurance policies more than she dr chacon did and then she moved on with the appointment. How about an apology?! Leaving my son without medication after I called 4 times starting two weeks before the Med was to run out is ridiculous. Because of my interaction with her staff and then asking if we could do a different medication, she basically gives us a 5 minute appointment and then says she needs to go because my son had a dirty diaper. ??

I just want to say that Dr. Chacon is an amazing doctor. She was there for my daughter from the very beginning of when she got sick. From helping her find the right meds to helping her find the perfect surgeon for my daughter. It took a long time for my daughter to open up to her but my whole family just loved Dr. Chacon. I couldn't ask for a better one. She will be greatly missed. Wish you the best Dr. Chacon. Love Siana Dominguez and her family.
