Dr Zirvi is the best doctor in town. I consult him for myself and my son skin issues he treated us very well.

I had a very similar experience as a previous review entitled 'Rushed, uncaring and very inconsiderate!'. Compared to the doctor who retired, Dr. Zirvi clearly wanted me out of his office as quickly as possible. Not before he grabbed a can of freeze spray off the shelf and zapped me in the head with basically no warning. That was a nearly $400 shot of liquid nitrogen with no clear indication of need (no biopsy was performed, for example). Compared to his predecessor (who retired) Dr. Zirvi did not do a very careful skin exam. He didn't have me disrobe, he didn't use a loop or a micrometer to measure and annotate anything and he had no clue about my prior history in the office.

I feel perfectly comfortable going for my skin checks to Dr. Zirvi, he is very attentive and recently there was a spot on my face that was a simple age spot but when you have people coming up to you weekly telling you that you have skin cancer and need to explain to them that it is not, it gets old. He was able to shoot it with his magic spray and in about a week it was gone. No more having to explain my face to people. I appreciate his help in taking care of this.

It was my initial visit with this doctor as my previous dermatologist retired. Dr. Zirvi did a full body exam and used liquid Nitrogen on 3 spots - without discussing anything at all - in about 3 minutes. When I asked him what the spots were that he froze, he replied 'nothing to worry about, perhaps a wart'. The spot on my shoulder was a mole that I had for years which started to look different about 2 months ago. Certainly not a wart. He used the liquid nitrogen spray on my thumb as I was showing him the spot with my finger from the other hand and I had to remove my finger before he completely burned it. He then sprayed my shoulder and head without any sort of warning. Complete waste of education and credentials, if they are indeed true.

I still remember my visit with the doctor ! He was very kind to take me at a very short waiting time for appointment and guide me a precise n perfect regimen for my acne prone skin !

Where do I start. First of all Dr. Zirvi’s credentials are just outstanding. He has been educated in the best schools, trained at a very good dermatology program and has been with Summit health for 20 years!This just shows how much experience he has in this field. He has always been so accommodating, I do agree that centralized scheduling has no clue as to how to fit patients into earlier appointments and most of the time the centralized scheduling has no clue as to what they are doing. I learned very early as a patient to directly call Dr. Zirvi’s office. those who need it number is aboveHit option 6 and ask to speak to Joan. She will do her best to give you the first available appointment. She’s so friendly and pleasant to talk to aswell. And has been with Dr. Zirvi for years. I find Dr. Zirvi to be extremely honest and very good at prescribing treatments that actually fix my problem. He doesn’t unnecessarily sell you other services to make you spend money. I had the privilege of receiving treatment from Dr. Zirvi at Summit Health Warren NJ. I must say, my experience was nothing short of exceptional. Dr Zirvi is a very kind, caring and competent dermatologist. My daughter has been his patient for the last 4 years and won’t see any other dermatologist. He takes his time and listens to you. He provides the best solutions for your skin care needs.

I consulted him twice. One for shingles and other more recently for a cyst. Both times his diagnoses and treatment plan was spot on.

I’ve been going to Dr Zirvi for a few years now and I have been very satisfied. The office staff are very nice and the wait has been less than 10 mins. Dr Zirvi is very thorough and explains everything. My condition is much better.

I agree with the other patient comments. He is incredibly rushed and not sure he cares about the nuance of an issue.

Dr. Zirvi spent a maximum of 2 minutes with me. He did not ask me any questions, he entered the room and told me what I “have”. I had to insist on showing him my skin. He glanced at my leg, not even bending down to look. Then he wrote three prescriptions, without explaining what they are or allowing me to ask if they might interact with my other medications. I asked him to repeat the name of the condition he mentioned at the beginning of the appointment and he got annoyed. There was no information in my portal notes so I still don’t know what it is. He literally typed “nothing to record”. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I left in tears.

Dr. Zirvi seems to be very rushed. I don't think this is his fault but rather reflects the reality of practicing medicine as part of a large group that's trying to pump as many patients through their doors each day as possible. I visited him a few days ago after my long-term dermatologist in the same practice retired. The latter used to take about 15 minutes for an annual skin check with me literally under a magnifying glass. Each spot was carefully inspected and noted. Dr. Zirvi's approach however was to scan me very quickly with the naked eye. It took about four minutes. I'm not a physician so I can't say whether there is a clinical difference between the two approaches but common sense would dictate that a more careful skin check would be able to spot more trouble spots. Whether those trouble spots lead to more false positives is, of course, an open issue. Nevertheless, I did feel as if I was being rushed. His demeanor was very pleasant and likeable.

Dr. Zirvi has been my dermatologist for years and I think he does a great job. Unfortunately due to central scheduling I will not be seeing him anymore. I could not get in with an emergency request last year. And I just tried to make another regular appointment for 6 months from now and was told there is no availability but they told me I can see another doctor. I told them I'm a regular patient who sees him every 6 months and I was told there is nothing. Nothing. Dr Zirvi was my doctor. Why can't I get in to see him? Now I have to find another dermatologist. Sorry Dr. Zirvi.

I have been going to Dr. Zirvi for years for a skin check every 6 months. He seems to do a thorough check and I never have any issues with my visits. However, twice I have tried to call the office for an urgent visit on two separate occasions and they could not accommodate me at all. You have to go through central scheduling and they don't even let you speak to someone from the office. They just tell you the next appointment, which is usually a few months out. No fault of the doctor, but due to this, I will consider changing dermatologist.

Every time he walked in I felt as if he was rushing me out. Also refilled cream I said wasn’t working.
